I was thinking the endgame here from the current regime is to balkanize the US between Blue and Red states.

I really don't want to be right.

May as well just go right to civil war at that point

Most red states don’t have the economy or job prospects to survive in their be own without blue state handouts

Blue states would excel without being weighed down by constantly carrying around dead weight like Mississippi

Won’t take long before the red states become resentful and try to force reunification on their terms

[edit]Bonus points for Texas who will proudly be leader or the new Red State Alliance and take the throne as new king, only to find out they are that kid in the group project who has to do all the work while everyone else skips classes
