There is definitely a shift happening on the right. Hell, Ted Cruz and Ben Shapiro are now publicly denouncing Trump's tariffs.

Republicans up for reelection in 2026 are going to fight Trump on this, it'll be interesting to see if the moderate/legacy conservatives break ship from the Trump party by the end of this term because remember.. Trump CANT run.

Conservatism is a personality, and a foundational part of that personality is getting in line. There will be no Republican resistance to Trump, only milquetoast snippets immediately after he does something indefensible.

Have you forgotten all the accurate things Republicans said about Trump in 2016? What did it amount to?
