Not to mention that even if we did get rowdy, protection against popular uprising was planned for in the US constitution, having been drafted immediately after Shays’ Rebellion

That's how the French do it, Americans seem to be happy to sit on their collective arse's and watch tv or something. The only time modern Americans did anything close to the French revolution was when Trump told them to.

The opium being social media, movies and TV, sports, 24 hour news, fast food, videogames, the next life (religion selling point), copium....and actual opium.
