This, the 1% will have a short term loss, but a long term gain as a result of this. The general population on the other hand… not so much

There's been hundreds of years worth of checks and balances/psyops to ensure we're all too keen on bread and circuses to revolt

Not to mention that even if we did get rowdy, protection against popular uprising was planned for in the US constitution, having been drafted immediately after Shays’ Rebellion
