Their comment heavily implies that only Conservatives are capable of being effectively outraged. I'm starting to believe that.

It's true. I realised that in 2002 when the build up to the invasion of Iraq was happening.

It was obvious to all that Bush wanted to invade no matter what. A myriad of ridiculous reasons were thrown together to justify it, every one of them clearly fake, but the Bush Administration put on this silly charade of just thinking about it.

There were plenty of dissenting voices but... just not very passionate about being moderate.

Those at the edges of the opinion spectrum have media that rouse them into an "all or nothing" state of being.

Moderates or progressives need the same, especially now it is the radical opinion.
