Who cares about hypocrisy? They've been doing this for years. Leaders pretend it's a Trump / Musk problem and it's not. No politician is helping the mass US population understand what's truly going on because then they'd be hypocrites too, Obama included.

What's the problem? Money.

Every piece of the US government has been corrupted by money. The influence of money now determines the law, determines the judge, determines the sentencing, determines how a politician will vote, and opens them to further corruption where they're now blackmailed into falling in line.

How did it become such a problem?

Because nobody stood up at any point to do the right thing. (When monopolies which were supposed to be illegal were allowed to exist, When they allowed less than 20 companies to buy and control nearly all of the media and internet, When Citizens United was first introduced, when Republicans didnt allow Dems to nominate a judge. When RGB refused to step down, died, and handed the Republicans a gift, when Clarence Thomas was exposed for the gifts he was receiving from the wealthy, the lack of term limits for the court, when they took over the post office as they tried to steal a post-covid election that had millions of mail-in votes, when politicians were allowed to enrich themselves with stocks in the industry that they vote on regulating, when the states charging Trump with local crimes didn't hold him to the same standards as everyone else, not punishing ELON the moment he dared open his mouth to buy votes,

It feels like it's so fucking late now to care but there's one way I can see this saved and prevented from ever happening again. Everything else is a bandaid until the next line of corruption.

  1. Get the money out of politics. We need someone as radical and blood thirsty as Trump to put fear in ALL judges, ALL politicians, ALL corruption within state and federal government.

  2. Punish the billionaire class for their crimes. Close the tax loopholes and have the rich pay their fair share. More important than that, someone who will stand up to the billionaire class and make them pay for their crimes with jail time.

  3. Stop monopolies. Stop allowing companies to gobble up one another. If a search engine wants to get into online videos it better be a unique company where the only thing they share is resources, and one part of your company can not use the service of another part of the company and pay one another.

  4. Protect the working class. Punish CEOs who strip companies for parts, and layoff employees after continued growth. We need to discourage the pursuit of annual profit growth. There is nothing wrong with making the same profit or a little less than a year before. There is no such thing as infinite profit.

  5. Term limits. The giant elephant in the room no one will ever talk about because we'd need a RADICAL young person to do so. This entire country is ran by fucking 90 year olds who are dying in office and the only reason they stay is because the longer the stay the more connections they make, the more power they get, the more corrupt they get, and the more money they get.

Obama was the last charismatic democrat and he wasn't perfect. Everything after that has been vote blue because red is really bad. Should have been Bernie. Now it should be someone else.
