If anyone else other than Trump did anything wrong it was like the world was ending. When it's Trump everyone has kid gloves on.

Thats 100% not true.  Its not just trump that has it easier. Republicans in general can do whatever they want and they get the kid gloves.  Democrats on the other hand are asked to resign if they so much as sneeze the wrong way.

In 2021, a winter storm hit the US including the great state of Texas.  The winter storm also caused the grid to fail and millions were without power in Texas.  This was one of the worst blackouts in modern US history. As a result, 246 people were killed in Texas from this winter storm.

Do you know where Senator Ted cruz could be found during this crisis?  He flew to Cancun Mexico with his family.  A senator for Texas should have been in Texas helping people during this crisis but not ted cruz.  He fled to someplace warm and sunny while people freezed to death. https://www.texastribune.org/2021/02/18/ted-cruz-cancun-power-outage/

Were there repercussions for his actions during this crisis? Nope.  He was reelected for another 6 years.  That's usually how it goes for republican politicians.  They do a shitty job even if it cost people their lives and they get reelected.
