I remember the moment he announced Bin Laden's death. Dad and I were just watching the news like"welp, he just got 4 more years."

Bush got 4 years just for waving a loudspeaker around a disaster site and promising to get revenge. It isn’t hard to get re-elected unless you’re either mismanaging a pandemic or old as shit. 

Edit: oh and for coasting on Bill Clinton’s economy and government surplus for a few years before the economy crashed. Kind of like Trump coasting on Obama’s stable economy too. Wait. I see a pattern here.
