I somehow ended up being in almost every group they’re targeting except immigration, I’m black, agender and bi, disabled, poor, college student, atheist

And despite being in Mississippi, a lot of people respect me. It’s almost like the content of your character is what truly matters and not what you are. A hard concept for people with smooth brains to comprehend because it’s like they have to be a PoS to someone to feel better about themselves. Gladly, I’m on my way out of this state.

In my experience, even if you can convince the bigots that you are a good person, you become "one of the good ones," the exception, not the norm. It doesn't change their preconceived notions.

It’s why I don’t even like being around them, I don’t want to be “one of the good ones” if you can’t treat other people like me with respect, by proxy, you’re disrespecting me. I got the “token black friend” experience and it’s a bunch of sly racism, me being black shouldn’t be one of the common “jokes”, it’s no surprise that when I needed friends that were there for me, they weren’t around. One of my biggest wake up calls, same thing happens with all the other stuff. Transphobia but I’m fuckable so I get sexually harassed and get asked all kinds of invasive questions, disabled but I work out, so I can’t be that disabled when I look strong.

Unless I was just desperate for the attention, you legit just can’t not respect what someone is, but expect them to want your presence. My grandfather is a highly respected pastor, but he is shunning the hell out of Trump supporters and it makes them upset because they don’t see what they’re doing wrong by voting for someone blatantly going after his family. People like them don’t deserve an ounce of your thoughts or respect, not until they grow a couple more brain cells to think outside their bubble. I follow in his steps and do the same thing, even if I’m atheist, what he is matters so little compared to who he is, he’s probably the one person that could convince me to be Christian… because he actually follows the Bible
