Congress literally circumvented a rule that would normally force a vote on tariffs within a certain number of days by saying "calendar days don't exist in regard to trump tariffs"

Yep. They are pussies, allowing the destruction of the country all for personal ambition. Good luck with that ambition when the country falls apart. That's like allowing a fire to spread in a hotel that you allow because the arsonist is the regional manager and wants to burn down the hotel. You're allowing it cuz your trying to maintain your manager job. But without the hotel, what the fuck are you going to manage?

Someone said it’s like burning down the house to cook a steak.

Don’t fucking both sides us, please. They absolutely have policies, up to and including not intentionally tanking the economy, that try to benefit all walks of life

So what do you suggest they actually do? The Dems are forcing votes to stop the tariffs (like the one in the Senate a couple days ago), but those bills are all doomed to fail because there's no way they'll get the 2/3rds majority in both houses that's needed to override a presidential veto. The other thing they can do is scream from the rooftops, but everyone's been doing that since before the election and it seems people aren't listening because a majority of Americans, even now, still believe Trump is doing a better job than Biden.

I don't see how a rule change can override a law which was actually passed and signed by both branches of Congress and the president. This should get taken to court.
