Is it safe to use this potato?

Hello Im currently boiling a potato i chopped up. But when i chopped it in half lengthwise, i got this in the photo (i seperated whatever that is from the rest of the potato and discarded it). Can i still eat this potato?

Yeah. Just throw away the bad parts.
