Something I've been mulling over. Curious what folks think.

I’ve been working on a C++ game engine for a few years now and have rebuilt large parts of it more times than I’d like to admit. Mostly chasing better architecture and cleaner systems—but it’s a slippery slope.

I have an options trading bot that does either a call or put callout, and I have about 4 years of callouts in a CSV file with the headers Ticker, Timestamp, and Callout, 30 different stocks/indexes, and about 9000 total trades being called out. I want to backtest using python on QuantConnect, but I have absolutely zero coding experience. I got Gemini 2.5 to code it for me, but QuantConnect’s backtesting makes zero trades once it is complete, and there are no errors or logs when I run it. I dont know how to really test where it's going wrong either. I
