What song or moment did you know you would be a reggae person for life?!
I heard a specific song while off roading when I was in middle school. My best friend and I were standing up in the back of her cousins 4x4 truck. We were driving through a gulch surrounded by a forest…
Besides the alluring rhythm, it was so heavy to learn what the actual song was about. Furthermore to learn what the roots of reggae are all about; the awakening. I’ve always struggled to find my way back home. Reggae music makes it easier for me to love the journey❤️🔥

Home set-up
I retired the sound after 35 years (I just can't do all the lifting these days) so it's now a home install.

Reggae song suggestions
I like songs with religious themes, preferably with guitar, horns, or clavs. Some songs I like are Judgement Day by Raging Fyah, Hell Fire by Ooklah, All my Life by Chezidek, Lockdown by Jeremiah. Idk if this is just roots in general, but I like music with emotion, whereas most reggae songs are too chill for me. I like slow, but with emotion. Also doesn’t have to be Jamaican. I like island music in general.

Need Help Identifyin' a Song
Been searchin’ for this track for months now. In the 2011 film Better Mus’ Come, there’s a scene around the 25-minute mark where the characters are at a party. One of the guys finishes singing Stop That Rain before turnin' on the record player. A reggae track starts playin' with the words:
“Once again, we come before the presence of the imperial majesty…”
The song keeps playing as another character rudely brushes off his own daughter. His friend says:
“Ya better watch it or ya just might lose her.”
Anybody know the song's title? Would be grateful.

This song lifts me up! Sensi Trails "Just Livin"
I had an extremely bad week. It's been a struggle to get out of bed and do my day by day. I heard this song a few years back and it helped me get through some rough times. This jam is a reminder to keep pushing forward and a reminder to always think positive. 🙏
