Chemistry Turning carbon dioxide into liquid fuel. Scientists have discovered a new electrocatalyst that converts carbon dioxide (CO2) and water into ethanol with very high energy efficiency, high selectivity for the desired final product and low cost.

Nature has already created the simplest and likely most effective carbon sequestration machine we will have - the tree.

We just have to plant trees where people don't want to use the land, like on Mars.
