It is possible this man has suffered brain damage from huffing the Elmers glue fumes needed to construct this sign, (+1 for giving his own artwork the double finger...edgelord move for sure), but can someone explain this to me.
Posting on both Seattle forums. This guy was in some bars yesterday on cap hill trying to fight bar staff and coming behind counters. Refusing to leave, wouldn't listen to anything, dropping homophobic slurs. Cops were called but he left before they arrived, and vandalized some machines on his way out the door. If you see him steer clear, he's very violent. Took a swing at one of the bartenders. If you see him and you're able, DM me. Very interesting in pressing charges and I'm always in the area.
Hi, I just started a subreddit for the PNW coffee community. It's about time we have our own place to discuss our local roasters, our favorite neighborhood coffee shops, and all things coffee. Please join if you are a coffee lover. Let's get this community going!
SEATTLE — State and federal education spending for K-12 schools is way up, but test scores in 4th grade reading and 8th grade math are dropping, according to a non-partisan research group.
On Friday, Edunomics Lab, a Georgetown University research center, presented the test score data, which they said has been trending down for a decade. The data is based on the results from the 2024 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), a test that happens every two years.
There is a small art gallery (Gallery North) in downtown Edmonds that has local artists and a lot of original works are under a thousand dollars. I really enjoy going there. What are some more galleries like this? I'm especially interested in finding some around the Bellevue/Renton area.
🐾 Breed: Jindo mix (Loyal Korean dog breed)
🐾 Age: Approximately 2 years old
🐾 Rescue Story: Spring was rescued from a rural village in Uijeongbu, South Korea, just one day before she was to be sold for meat. Thankfully, a kind-hearted rescuer stepped in and saved her life.
🐾 Health:
Fully vaccinated
Sprayed
Heartworm treated and cured
Dental cleaning completed
Currently in excellent health
🐾 Current Location: Spring is staying at a sanctuary in Elma, Washington (near Seattle) while waiting for her forever home. She has been in the U.S. for over 3 months, but due to limited promotion, she has not yet been adopted. We are now trying to reach more people to help her find a loving family.
🐾 Personality: Spring is bright, playful, and affectionate. She loves being around people and other dogs. She's also calm and loyal, and likely house-trained for outdoor potty breaks. She would be a wonderful companion!
🐾 Foster Home Needed:
Until she is adopted, we are urgently looking for a foster home (short-term or long-term). Even a temporary foster (for 2-3 months) would be a huge help. Basic expenses such as food will be covered, as her rescuer is considering bringing her back to Korea if a permanent home isn’t found soon.
Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet girl, even if it’s just temporarily. Let’s help Spring find the love and safety she deserves. 💛

Seems every time i open up google there’s yet another up with goodwill article i try to scroll past. This weeks article stated they were wasting clothing left and right due to quick fashion items being donated to the stores.
Speaking of the life of an article of clothing on avg spends 6 weeks in store then 3 weeks in a bin store before getting dumped in a landfill or ripped up for rags.
Several people were of course very upset that so much got tossed yet not a single person realized the bigger picture in my opinion.
Anything that has any sort of good label once donated right away gets put into the front of the store . Where the prices are super high due to them being fashionable. And usually still has original store tags on them. Just the other day i saw a pretty torrid brand coat. Original tag had it priced at $149. Goodwills? $119.
It’s the same with shoes. Bags and purses. It is actually cheaper to buy whatever it Is you’re looking for at the original store once it hits the clearance section then to get it at goodwill.
So then items go to the buy by the pound goodwill locations. Where the workers are so worried about people possibly stealing anything they actually chase people and refuse letting anyone with backpacks or large purses into their stores. Yet at the same time if one looks
You will see fork lifts shoveling things that didn’t sell into compactors n then dumpsters on the other side of those same buildings.
Am i the only one that realizes that if i have 200 items and sell each one for a $1. Ill get $200? Verses maybe possibly selling 2 or 3 out of those 200 for $50 a piece?
(The Center Square) – State Sen. Emily Alvarado, D-Seattle, is facing an ethics complaint accusing her of violating state laws related to her employment with an organization lobbying for Engrossed House Bill 1217 limiting rent increases. Alvarado is the legislation’s prime sponsor.
EHB 1217 aims to improve housing stability for tenants by limiting rent and fee increases, requiring notice of increases, limiting fees and deposits, and creating parity between lease types. It also provides for tenant lease termination and enforcement by the state attorney general. The bill would cap annual rent hikes at 7% for most units and 5% for manufactured and mobile homes. The bill prohibits any increase within the first year of tenancy but includes several exemptions, mainly for affordable housing providers.
... The complaint asserts that “Sen. Alvarado is a Vice President, Pacific Northwest Market for Enterprise Community Partners. According to its website she ‘oversees Enterprise’s work in Washington and Oregon to create and preserve affordable homes and brings programmatic solutions to scale through policy advocacy.’”
