I really am looking at purchasing an Assassin's Creed game but don't know where to dive in. I havent played any Assassin's Creed games before and am leaning between Mirage, Odyssey, Origins, Valhala, and maybe Shadows.

I really want to feel like a sneaky shadowy assassin (naturally)

I also like many open world rpgs.

Replayabilty would be nice, but isn't needed really that much.

I really like stories that I can get really invested in.

I'm mostly into shooters, PvP games, or boss/challenge-based games. Some of my favorites include Risk of Rain 2, Terraria, Rogue Tower, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, and a Roblox game called Hours, which is pretty goated.

She, on the other hand, is into a wide variety of games. She likes puzzle games like Rusty Lake, and while she’s not opposed to shooters like she enjoys Cuphead but she’s not a fan of first-person shooters. She plays a lot of cozy, quest-based games where she collects or creates things, like Hello Kitty Island Adventure. However, she’s also into quest games with combat, like Baldur’s Gate. She prefers games without timers or with sandbox mechanics, like Minecraft, and enjoys modded Minecraft, though we don’t know many mods to play together that her pc can run.

Spent over 100 hours in KCD2 and 60ish in AC shadows and now I’m just looking for a shorter game.

I am not really interested in Indie games. I am not married to any particular genre. At first glance of other games I was thinking Prince of Persia game that came out last year, seemed to be short and sweet. Any other suggestions? Thank you!

I quit Apex Legends around 6-7 months ago after grow tired of EA’s bull and was just playing singleplayer story or open world games till about 2 months ago when I decided I wanted to find a new competitive multiplayer game to grind. In that time I’ve tried Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, Valorant, and Siege and didn’t like any for certain reasons I’ll list below.

Fortnite: Game doesn’t feel balanced and it feels like monetization is the forefront of the game instead of content (main reason I quit Apex)

Marvel Rivals: Well designed game but it doesn’t feel grounded enough to be competitive imo.

Overwatch: Enjoyed it more than Marvel Rivals but it doesn’t seem like the game has a large enough playerbase to support competitive.

Valorant: Don’t enjoy such a slow paced game.

Siege: TTK too high for my taste.

COD feels like the next logical step but I’m not sure if it’s worth trying. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hello everyone, im looking for a new game to sink hours into. I'm mostly interested in these 3 since they seem to have a lot of ''progression'' based gameplay ( and visual progression) I'm very fond of building and combat in videogames but also of the ''aesthetic'' and feel that the game has.

I usually play RPG and ARPG games but also a big fan of pokemon (although didn't play any of them in the last 10 years lol) so really not sure which one I should buy.

I'd also like to specify that I will play the games solo since non of my friends play any kind of these games.

Hi, i am a new pc gamer have been playing console all my life. But just getting a pc to play games all in one place. I was wondering about some games that would be the best to learn the ways of the keyboard and mouse. I have heard from friends and other posts that Valorant, Portal & Fortnite are good starting games. Are these good? and any more ideas for best starting games to learn k&m?

I'm currently wanting to purchase either Hell Let Loose or Insurgency Sandstorm. In the past I have loved the huge open world games like battlefield 5 and 2042 hence I am leaning towards getting Hell Let Loose, the only potential caviat I've found with it is constantly having a team/lobby with mics and good communication, is this a prevelant issue at all?

Insurgency Sandstorm on the other hand seems like an absolute top tier game in terms of a solo experience closing resembling COD and though I've never played it CS:GO? (If I'm wrong about it being like cs:go pls lmk). It seems like the safer pick between the 2 games with a higher likelihood for myself to enjoy it.

The main reason why I'm so drawn to the 2 games is its realism and "ptsd simulator" vibe with no hit markers or points etc. It's a super unique and great concept that I'm keen to actually see for myself.

Those have played both please let me know your thoughts as am very eager to see what you think is better. Please also add any important thing about the game that may be a significant pro or con about the game. Thanks in advance!

I’m looking for some good games on ps5 and I’ve played most of the good ones. This is one I’m kinda interested in purchasing and I’ve heard the story is amazing but gameplay is easy, repetitive, and kinda button mashing. Hope it’s a bit better than that anyways…

Right now on the ps store the complete edition with dlc is on sale for 45 bucks. Is this a good deal and is the dlc worth it or am I better off just waiting for the regular game itself comes on sale?

Bg3 was my first turn based game and I really liked it and I've almost finished it. I'm overwhelmed by all the turn based game options for my next game and I don't even know where to start.

A lot of people say Solasta is good for more Dnd and Divinity Origin Sin is good for more Larian games but I don't necessarily want the same thing again.

Good combat and builds is the most important to me and I liked how much variety there was in Bg3. Story and characters is of medium importance.

I don't like anime art styles for some reason sorry but idek why. Pixel art is okay.

But I know that there are many games I haven't heard of, which are less talked about but are great and underrated. Do you know any story games that surprised you with their quality? Thanks!

I've never played anything from the Metal Gear series, although I have always wanted to. I recently read Kojima's book, which inspired me even more to check out his works. So I've had my eyes on The Phantom Pain and Death Stranding (they seem to be the most popular out of his works).

I have enjoyed stealth/tactical games in the past, such as all the Hitman games (even the ones before the World Of Assassination trilogy), and to a lesser extent the old school AC games. That said, this one looks to be more of a 3PS than a stealth game (please correct me if I am mistaken). Generally I can enjoy playing anything which can get me into its (preferably unique) gameplay groove, and I especially love those that use their gameplay to tell a brilliant story. I look for enriching experiences.

TL;DR: is MGSV: TPP a worthwhile experience?

I love the design of mission based games where you’re put in an area that you can explore and sneak around before finishing you’re objective and leaving but it feels like that’s so rare nowadays with the focus on open world. A perfect example is dishonoured. Go in, explore the entire relatively small map, sneak around enemies, kill whoever you need to kill and leave Another good example is hitman. In. Target dead. Out. The new Indiana jones game also scratched that itch to an extent, same with Batman Arkham knight.

Nowadays though it seems like every stealth/action game on the market is trying to be open world, which to be honest just overwhelms me. Smaller more detailed maps are my jam, and games with a larger focus on exploration like dishonoured are perfect with a lot of verticality.

Metal gear solids stealth aspects sound perfect, but I’m worried that the more modern games are gonna be too “vast” and shallow for me to enjoy. Is it worth it?

I didnt have really gamed for last ten years. Before that , I was a hardcore Gamer on PC.

So now a little to big Problem sometimes.

Due to a neurological disease, I sometimes have very little concentration and am very nervous. In these times, it is impossible for me to play complex, difficult or strenuous games. So actually all the big AAA titles where something is constantly happening on the screen.

In this times i only can play games, where you can playing short sessions , and it is easy Gameplay, for example: -Candy Crush -Bubble Shooter -Tetris -Balatro -Hades -Stardew Valley

So I need every good game Name with These Parameters please. That would be lovely. Because the most of the time im not able to play other Games.

In may I will end my long journey of academic pain and I want to celebrate my earned free time with one, maybe two nice games.

Some on my list are:

• Demons Souls (played ER, Ds 1-3, BB. Huge souls fan)

• Elden Ring Nightreign (not sure if I am multiplayer guy, will propably wait for reviews and need watch some gameplay)

• Horizon Forbidden West (played Zero Dawn Remastered a couple of months ago. It was one of the best gaming experiences I had both visually and story wise)

• Assassins Creed Shadows (so far my top choice. I already played Ghost of Tsushima, I just love medieval japan and samurai games)

• Doom: The Dark Ages (not a huge shooter fan, but this game looks so good! Played eternal a couple of hours and it was quite fun)

This list may become unneccessary at any point when Hollow Knight: Silksong drops this year as it will become my obsession for propably a long time

Oh my gosh, I have been debating for just about a week now on what to buy. So the PS5 sale ends Thursday, and I unfortunately can only get one.

Who knew you couldn't buy a PS5 digital card with an Amazon gift card you got for Christmas? This gal didn't.

I love open-world and RPGs... I also play on a laptop, but I prefer to play many games using a controller (plus I don't have the best of gaming laptops) Perhpas I should have an xbox S and avoid this whole delema about playing with a controller... that way I could use that gamepass thing they have and use controller and slide between console and PC...

Sorry, sidetracked lol... Anyways... I remember when cyberpunk came out and how it was taken off of PSN stores because of the renowned glitches and bugs the game had... Apparently (while trying to figure out which one I want to purchase more), the game even went down to $10... LOL! The thing with this choice is that if I get this game, I won't be able to get the DLC... This is because of money. While looking through and trying to make my decision (which is how I ended up on this sub), I saw a lot of people saying you need the DLC, and/or the DLC is the best part of the game. I will admit... I don't know a lot about either of these games... I just know I see that they are both widely talked about, and even some claimed as the "best game I've ever played".

Now, as I just said, I don't know much about either of these games... I admit I know even less about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2... I just know it is a big hit and that the beginning is hard because you are starting with literally nothing, and you get beaten up a lot in the beginning before you "get good". I have a feeling this is a grindy type of game, which is alright... I have time. (Lost job due to breaking both my feet, possible liver cancer, and the fact the job market sucks... "they" say that they are hiring but no one ever calls/emails back. A flat out "sorry" would be nice... but y'know). I know also through my searches... You don't need to know anything about the first game. A video review is recommended to get familiar with the characters. (apparently, you lose all your progress you made in 1 in 2... hence starting with nothing.)

Unfortunately for me, this year is full of games coming out that I'm excited about... (Plus... I mean, are we SURE Ghost of Yotei and GTA won't be pushed until 2026? Also looking out for some vampire games and the game "Hell Is Us" (which comes out a week after my birthday!), so it's a stacked year... You probably will see me again if I don't get hired from any of the damn jobs I've applied to because of this stacked year! Excited for this year in gaming... financially, I am screaming.

I am looking to purchase a game for my son for Easter. He’s 4 (Pretty good at gaming so far) and we have played through and enjoyed the following games so far:

Mario Party Superstars Mario Mart 8 Deluxe Super Mario 3D World / Bowsers Fury Pokemon Violet.

I am struggling to figure out what to get next.

He has mentioned that he enjoys Pokemon because of the Open World which has lead me to Mario Odyssey.

I also want to expand our horizons and maybe get away from Mario?? (Not deal breaker if a Mario game is best)

We also obviously enjoy co-op play from the other games we own. I know Luigi’s Mansion 3 is co-op. Played the demo for Donkey Kong returns which is on my radar.

I myself love Zelda so I was thinking maybe Links Awakening or BotW (Because the reviews are raving) but the game isn’t exactly for me so

Hello everyone. As the title indicates, I'm seeking recommendations for cinematic games. I'm not particularly fond of open-world games with side quests; I've tried them several times, but they don't quite suit my preferences. That being said, games I've enjoyed include the Batman Arkham series, the Spider-Man series, the Uncharted series, The Last of Us 1 & 2, the Tomb Raider series, God of War 2018 & Ragnarök, the Call of Duty series, Titanfall 2, and Stray. Games I haven't enjoyed as much include Red Dead Redemption 2 (I played for three hours but it wasn't for me) and Horizon Zero Dawn (I played for two hours, but perhaps I'll give it another try sometime). I prefer games with excellent graphics and gameplay, so please don't suggest anything older than ten years. I am looking forward for your suggestions.

I played elden ring for like 200 hours, played ds3 and then ds1r and Im now playing ds2. Im playing it at the same time as my friend, who just bought the game, while Ive had it sitting in my library for a while. But we realized our games are a bit different, which made me realize I still have the original ds2 with all the dlc, while he has scholar of the first sin. I was like eh who cares, but now Im thinking about it and thinking if I should buy sotfs. I could get it for like 17€.

Im not THAT far into the game yet. From an area order I found on reddit I beat the first 5 areas, and Im currently doing the lost bastille. It surprisingly didn't take that long to get there so I think with my knowledge I could get there pretty fast.

What do you guys think? Should I buy sotfs and get back to where I am or should I just continue with the original.

Also I read somewhere that sotfs has a different final boss or something? Is that true?

I am currently looking for some pvp action but I am not really into shooters or mobas. Only moba I ever really enjoyed was Paragon but it got canceled a while ago.

I really enjoyed group based pvp, played a lot of battlegrounds in wow, was never really into arena or 1vs1 gameplay.

Game shouldn’t be p2w but offer some kind of progression system.

Any thoughts on a game with a somewhat active community on ps5?

Looking for a crpg, preferably an action rpg rather than a turn-based one (but am flexible), that uses skill-based dialogue options, falls solidly in the sci-fi genre, and (most importantly) allows your character to have a big impact on the world, much in the vein of Obsidian's New Vegas or The Outer Worlds. I tried playing the original mass effect but found it boring (and the interface was dogshit), and apparently 1, 2 and 3 all influence each other, so Andromeda is the only one I can play without skipping essential choices (I like the premise better anyway). I enjoyed Cyberpunk 2077, but it was a better shooter than it was an RPG. I've heard that Nier has connections to a fantasy setting, which I'm not a fan of, but I've also heard said connections are minimal. Let me know your thoughts!
