What do we call this new downturn?
There was the Dot Com Bubble, Great Recession, Covid Recession, Great Depression of course. Are there any names that stick with today’s love of naming things?
I think Reddit should be tasked with naming this bear market before the media gets its hands on it.
Try to take into all factors! Get creative!

Trump: You know, people haven't used the word recession in a long time. Recession. It's a beautiful word. An old word. Nobody uses it anymore. People tell me, you brought it back. Recession.

This is perfect. It puts his name in lights which is all he's really after anyway. He can live on in failed infamy and hopefully leave us all soon

Perfect, it includes everyone involved in this monumental fuckup.

Yeah I was gonna say Trumponomics was perfect to counter the whole Bidenomics slang.
But Maganomics includes all the losers that voted for this.

MAGAomics is going to lose badly in 2026. What a Trumpster fire this is. It's MAGAgeddon. This is so much personal pain for everyone.

This is small consolation. The damage done will take decades to fix by then. Assuming people at the helm also don’t act like dictators themselves.
I mean, how long is going to take write legislature to keep this away from ever happening again. And how are they ever going to get it passed. I hate to be a negative Nancy, but this could be the beginning of the end for American supremacy on the world stage.
The dems need to fucking crush it in 2026 and then who’s gonna helm the party in 2028? The democrats seem to have a major charisma deficit right now. Sad that Trump could ever win after his four years in office, but that’s how bad the democrats are right now.

Trump Recession.
He’ll be the first president to have a recession named after himself.
If it gets any worse then it’ll be the Trump Depression.

The Trump Depression has been around for the better part of ten years now, if you ask my therapist.

The Kennedy Slide is probably my favorite euphemism for a stock market panic.
So maybe the Trump Dump?

That last one doesn’t really roll off the tongue though.

I’d vote for others but here are a couple options: Tariff tumble and the Red Liberation

For now it's just a correction more than anything else with the potential to become a market crash if the trend continues. It has been quick descent, but not yet a market crash or recession. This has a lot more room to fall.
