What do we call this new downturn?

There was the Dot Com Bubble, Great Recession, Covid Recession, Great Depression of course. Are there any names that stick with today’s love of naming things?

I think Reddit should be tasked with naming this bear market before the media gets its hands on it.

Try to take into all factors! Get creative!

What I don’t get is, this was always the same expected outcome. And it’s going to get a whole lot worse if he doesn’t reverse course. We are still waiting on other countries and to respond.

But they had to have known the market would crater on this news. With the amount of Tarrifs that he signed, this was the only outcome.

There was a lot of "he won't really..." because people won't know how much the adults in the room stopped in the first term. This is what people meant when they said that the second term is Trump unfiltered. Reince Preibus isn't walking through that door.

Yup, I honestly wish he had won in 2020 and was out of office now. He'd likely have just kept at his half wit attempts at dismantling the government which were mostly contained. But now he had 4 years to regroup and have people determine the best route for a speed run coup. We'll see where things are at come 2026

As well as the inevitable layoffs. JPMorgan just let the genie out of the bottle today by declaring there will be a recession this year, that’s all small businesses needed to hear to adjust inventories and cut headcount.

This is small consolation. The damage done will take decades to fix by then. Assuming people at the helm also don’t act like dictators themselves.

I mean, how long is going to take write legislature to keep this away from ever happening again. And how are they ever going to get it passed. I hate to be a negative Nancy, but this could be the beginning of the end for American supremacy on the world stage.

The dems need to fucking crush it in 2026 and then who’s gonna helm the party in 2028? The democrats seem to have a major charisma deficit right now. Sad that Trump could ever win after his four years in office, but that’s how bad the democrats are right now.
