These were all recorded March last year, SPOILERS FOR REAL LIFE Donna abandoned this nest not too long after these had been filmed. Never learned why. Her or a different dove did setup a couple more over the year. Won't be too long before the first of this next gen sets up on this old gal, a GP9 built during the Eisenhower Administration

Were any of the nests successful?

Most of the like 8 or so nests I've seen on this have been successful

that is so interesting! sorry, I'm late to the post, but how do they feed the kiddos (and themselves) on a moving train? like somebody else asked, can the dad even find the nest?

Possibly she realised a moving vehicle wasn’t a good nest site. Possibly. 🤭

Is Donna gonna survive this whole experience? or is this train eventually getting up to 60 MPH or something? I need to know, I'm getting way too invested.

We're an industrial switching operation, never exceeding 10 mph, parking in the same spot every day. Donna had been there for about a week before I took this video. See my other comment in this thread for more information

Phew! I'm gonna make some popcorn and settle in then, thanks for reassuring me.

How far away does the train go in any given day? And what times approximately? I wonder if when the dad takes off in the morning the train is back in the same place for his night shift. Thank you in advance.
