Supernatural leaving Netflix?!

I’m very very sad…

Apparently CW didn’t renew their contract with Netflix and now we are losing Supernatural at the end of this year!! December 2025 we will lose the ability to watch Supernatural anywhere other than DVD!! Hulu doesn’t even have it anymore?!

I have been watching this show (like many of us) since it aired in 2005.. Feeding my 1 yo and watching both Supernatural and Charmed… My kids grew up on this show! I’ve had to have seen the whole series no less than 40 times, i tend to binge at least twice a year. So far i’ve watched the whole season twice, since finding out we were losing it..

Off to buy the DVDs and a damn DVD player!

ETA: Thank you to those of you that mentioned Prime, i completely forgot about that platform as i don’t use it myself. Also i would like to add that it MIGHT come back on Hulu. The CW is just being butts to Netflix it would seem. I wish they would air Supernatural on the fricken CW app! (make it make sense LOL)

Also i am in USA if this helps anyone.

Father daughter bonding time

Upvotes

I showed my dad the first episode when I started to rewatch it. I didn't expect him to like it as much as me. Everyday when he came home for his lunch break we would watch an episode together. It was a tradition. A few days ago, that was when our tradition ended, with tears in our eyes from the last episode. I'm so glad my dad and I went though this journey together.

The most underrated frienship imo

They're so underrated it's crazyyy.

They developed sm over the seasons, they had a rough start and they didn't start to bond until like season 7 but they have such a nice and genuine friendship. Ngl idk how Sam was able to forgive him so fast after he broke his wall but he never blamed him or made him feel guilty for it, he was so understanding (mostly cause he know what it's like to be hated).

They had such a healthy friendship, they communicate so well and I think they kinda felt comfort from each side. Ik Cas is much closer with Dean and their frienship is the main one on the show but I feel like they should've had more scenes together. They're healthier than Cas and Dean ngl (not hating on them) but I still love both friendships.

Idkk I wish we could've seen more of them.

The guilt they felt after John breaks my heart

Upvotes

They both carried so much guilt for different reasons. Dean's guilt because his father sacrificed himself for him, and Sam's because of how much him and father fought just before he died. It was genuinely so much for them to bare

It's just so so sad </3

News/Misc. Who do you think is the better driver, Sam or Dean?

Thumbnail

On one hand, Deans likely been driving a lot more, and a lot longer than Sam, which would make him more experienced. But at the same time, Sam is the more responsible one, so he’d be a lot more careful, rather than make risky moves on the road. I think they’re both good drivers overall, but I’m just wondering which do y’all think is better.

What happened to Kevin is criminal Spoiler

Upvotes

Spoilers ahead:

I am rewatching and I completely forgot how Kevin dies. I think my brain decided to block it out for very good reason, because now I am indignant and definitely feel disrespected.

He didn’t even deserve a little bit of build up? A little fight? Some plot leading to his death that would make sense? This is senseless and deserved some jail time tbh.

Ofc, I will forget about it in a few episodes and get mad again next year.

Season 6 What kind of blade does Balthazar have here? Spoiler

Post image

Trying to keep it spoiler free as It's has a close resemblance to the typical blade used by these guys, but it looks to have a different blade near the tip and has some gaurd on it too, never seen any other like it. Do you think it's some rare one from the weapons he stole? If so, what else do you think the weapon can do if it's special?

Fanworks You guys might dig this, I made an Angel Blade that' also a little dice jar. I'm pretty stoked about it not gonna lie.

Season 6 Getting Sam's soul back

I'm rewatching SPN after a really really long time and I just watched s06e11 and I'm halfway through 12.

Let me tell you though: I am so annoyed with everybody being angry at Dean for wanting Sam's soul back and questioning him, especially Cas.

Like what else should he have done???? Yes he knows it'll put Sam through terrible pain but what are the other options?? A. Let things be as the are, soulless!Sam survives and Sam's soul keeps being tortured in the cage B. Kill soulless!Sam to stop him from kill Bobby and Sam's soul keeps being tortured in the cage for eternity

So no matter what, getting it out of the cage and back in his body is the best option! Ofc you could make a case for getting it back and then killing him, hopefully letting him go to heaven where his soul could potentially heal but you still need to get it back to do that.

Honestly I've noticed this trend of ppl being angry for the completely wrong reasons and ignoring things they should be concerned about many times through the show, but this is genuinely baffling to me.

Season 14 What happened to cain in apocalypse world? Spoiler

What happened to him in the apocalypse world? Since it's the same as the main universe until mary makes the deal with azazel, that means the whole amara binding mark of cain thing still happened. Nor does apocalypse michael ever bring up amara, so the bearer of the mark (presumably still cain) still has it, and is immortal. So what was cain doing during all that/what do you guys think he was doing during the apocalypse. What about the other knights and princes of hell?

We really need a spinoff or tie in book for apocalypse world

Season 7 Sam visions of Lucifer.

I know this has been discussed a lot but does it ever break anyone's heart seeing how much pain Sam is in, in season 7.

When he keeps seeing Lucifer espically in I forgot which episode but the one where Sam gets put in a mental institution and when dean gets there and asks Sam why isnt he getting mad about what happening to him Sam says he is just too tired mentally and physically like that is just so heartbreaking .

And during that time I just hate Castiel so much for breaking his wall and I'm glad he at least had the decency to take on what he caused when he took on sams visions.

But back to the point it always makes me so sad seeing how much pain and exhaustion Sam is in because of his wall breaking and how, when even in the institution where one of the hospital staff just brought him lunch even just trying to eat his sandwich his vision makes him see worms so even something so little as just trying to eat his sandwich Sam couldn't get a moment of peace .

Every time I looked at Dean’s face, I couldn’t help but notice how extremely pretty he was—especially his eyes and lashes—so I just kind of came up with the headcanon that he looks a lot like his mother. Of course, that wouldn’t actually be the case in the show, with the actors and all, but it’s just something I like to think.

Looking for some episodes where the same actor is playing different characters(or clones, impostor, doppelganger) in the same scene, same shot.

I'm working on an assignment about how actors perform in scenes with two or more people. I would greatly appreciate it if you could recommend some scenes from any of the Supernatural . Any type of scene would be fine! If you could provide specific examples or descriptions, that would be incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your assistance!

Season 4 Why didn't Bobby offer his panic room to Dean in season 3 Spoiler

Post image
366 Upvotes

Unless I'm missing something, the Bobsters panic room should have been able to protect Dean from the hell hounds and becoming one of hells bitches. The Iron and salt alone would have been enough and they could've even used devils shoestring like Bela had, noting it didn't work very well for her.

But, the point is why didn't bobby offer it to dean. Even as a temporary solution.

Realistically it probably just wasn't something the writers had in the tool box since it was never mentioned until season 4. It's just odd to me you go from s3e15 "How will we ever save Dean what can we do" to two episodes later s4e2 "Hey look at my real cool salted iron panic room demons can't come in"

Sam is just as possessive and codependent as Dean 😍

I mean, I could go on and on about this, but here are two examples:

A) Sam’s attitude towards Benny – I mean, I get that he is a vampire and Dean is being a hypocrite, but wasn’t this even the first time? No. Jealousy played a big role here.

B) Read this amazing quote from Crowley in Season 10, Episode 1: CROWLEY You know what tickles me about all this? It’s what’s really eating you up. You don’t care that he’s a demon. Heck, you’ve been a demon. We’ve all been demons. No, it’s that he’s with me and he’s having the time of his life. You can’t stand the fact that he’s mine.

No wonder Sam wanted to kill Crowley so bad😂😂

Season 1 Isaiah Merchant Spoiler

I just finished watching "Provenance" and his tragic arc struck me. Adopting a little girl out of adoption, who ends up being a serial killer killing you and your family, with you taking the blame, your body being buried away from those you love due to said false allegations, desecrated later, and being forced to watch her spirit kill families for almost a century while trying to warn others?

I feel he has to be one of the most tortured side characters in season one.

I think it's an underrated episode, and I can't complain, due to the masterpieces that come after it, I just wanted to share my thoughts on him in particular.

Season 8 Season 8 episode 6 Sam's reaction Benny.

I am so not a fan of Sam's reaction to when he meets Benny.. Sam slept with a demon and not only slept with said Demon but drank her blood like it was a Capri sun. Then started the apocalypse cause said demon... And now he's mad at Dean for having a vampire best friend?? Seriously if that's not the pot calling the kettle black..hypocrite!!!! That is all. Lol

Supernatural off Netflix already??

I knew they were taking it off due to licensing or something, and I had cancelled my Netflix last year and wanted to rewatch it one last time before it was gone. So I resubscribed and paid for Netflix the other day and have been rewatching. I wake up today, open the Netflix app, and it’s gone? I search for the show and it doesn’t pop up. I googled it, and it said that it was supposed to be on there until December 2025. Did I miss something? Is my Netflix broken? I’m in the US btw.

Spin-Off Shows The problem about the Winchisters

And I mean the spin off! Just an opinion, but I think we knew enough about John and Mary's story and to be frank not the most liked characters in the Fandom, so really, it was doomed from the start to center a whole series around them... Now on the other hand, would we have had a new series based on Sam's children and maybe one of Dean's illegitimate off spring (don't tell me that on the span of 15 years, he never had one that he didn't know about 🙄) that gets dragged into it or heck, throw Ben in the mix with few years on him, I would have DEFINITELY liked that show Infinitely more!

What's your opinion on this? I am curious to hear all about it
