Question Will the switch 2 be region locked?

I'm Canadian and the switch 2 here is $700, but only about $450 canadian if I buy it from Japan.

If I do that, would it work Just like a normal switch 2?

"if i buy it from Japan" 😂😂😂 well that's certainly wishful thinking 😅 in Japan they use a lottery system. i have wondered if it will available to be shipped internationally from Amazon Japan.

i believe many Japanese Switch games include English language anyway ? but Nintendo didn't state that it will only be able to play Japan region Switch 2 games.

I wouldn't, the cheaper switch in Japan is reportedly Japanese language only.

The cheaper Japanese Switch only allows Japanese profiles to be used, and everything is in Japanese.

They have another model which is multi-language/unlocked.

The entire reason is because the Yen is very weak and dropping, so they don’t want other countries importing it.

They still get the same purchasing power from a Japanese person buying the Japan only version, they would not from everyone importing from Japan.

So yes it’s not a good idea to import it unless you speak Japanese and are happy to always have everything in Japanese.
