Mussk did not only make a Nazi salute, He also acts like a complete nazi

When it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it is a duck.

482

u/mr_evilweed Feb 02 '25

"OH MY GOD you liberals think EVERYTHING is duck!!! It's clearly a roman osprey! It wasn't quacking! It just has aspergers!"

93

u/hardly_satiated Feb 02 '25

An ostrich, hiding his head in his own ass.

11

u/Unslaadahsil Feb 02 '25

I'm stuck in a logical loop of "I want to see that" and "I want this image out of my brain".

5

u/MoreReputation8908 Feb 02 '25

It’d have to be a sick ostrich.

2

u/Own-Possibility245 Feb 02 '25

Now, I went on the Internet and researched ostriches. Firstly, ostriches can run up to 70 miles an hour. So catching one, even a sick one, is a super tall order.

4

u/HopelessCineromantic Feb 02 '25

Struthiouroboros.

2

u/vessel_for_the_soul Feb 02 '25

Another self fulfilling prophecy.

1

u/CaptainDudeGuy Feb 03 '25

America, when democracy fell.

5

u/motorcycleboy9000 Feb 02 '25

"You people think every Nazi is a Nazi."

2

u/Repulsive_Spite_267 Feb 03 '25

Heil be the first to think so

7

u/PengyBlaster Feb 02 '25

🤣😭 this is too accurate I cannot recover from this

3

u/ARODtheMrs Feb 02 '25 edited Feb 02 '25

Asperger's is just regular old high functioning autism and no matter how much money and admiration Trump pays him, he's STILL a thief!!! IF he was so damn smart he wouldn't be our worst threat, he'd be working on something beneficial to mankind to save the environment, reduce pollution for real and take care of mankind, help those are alive right now and struggling their hardest.

Added: Don't cry about his IQ. We have PLENTY of regular folks with high IQs who CARE about their fellow Americans and would NEVER do what he's done/ doing!!!!!!!

3

u/ArthurDentsKnives Feb 02 '25

He doesn't have Asperger's. He has been diagnosed with nothing.

3

u/smurficus103 Feb 02 '25

He got the worst type of aspergers: Nazi Asperger's

1

u/Repulsive_Spite_267 Feb 04 '25

I was diagnosed with noting too.

Having nothing is a terrible mental condition

2

u/LordoftheScheisse Feb 02 '25

If you keep calling ducks ducks then nobody will be able to recognize a real duck.

1

u/ZoraandDeluca Feb 02 '25

As if having aspergers would disqualify you from also being a nazi? No. You can be both.

1

u/one-hit-blunder Feb 03 '25

Hehe. Quackspergers.

1

u/Mikophoto Feb 03 '25

Comedian Josh Johnson has a great bit about that

1

u/Euglosine Feb 02 '25

Got any grapes?

88

u/mmavcanuck Feb 02 '25

Counterpoint. He steps like a goose

u/johnjohn4011 Feb 02 '25 edited Feb 02 '25

Duck duck goose - a Nazi is on the loose!

3

u/Ok_Neat_1192 Feb 03 '25

You mean you didnt play duck duck nazi as a kid?

2

u/johnjohn4011 Feb 03 '25

Can't say that I did lol 🤣

Why can't the avian flu take him?!

4

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '25 edited Feb 02 '25

It was obvious to anyone not already brainwashed but Elon has no plausible deniability since he's made a "my heart goes out to you" gesture in the past.

2

u/FlyLikeHolssi Feb 02 '25

When it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, and is telling you it's a duck...Why the fuck would anyone believe it's not a duck?

2

u/viiksisiippa Feb 02 '25

Please don’t bring ducks into this hot mess, they’re cute.

1

u/fitzbuhn Feb 02 '25

It’s always ok to punch Nazi ducks, just remember that

2

u/waddayalookinat Feb 02 '25

I think the phrase you're looking for is "if it steps like a goose..."

2

u/ChatyGlance Feb 02 '25

it’s also a place for community and discussion is he really going to try to change that

2

u/Shnofo Feb 02 '25

Or it's my ex gf. She was into some wild larping, cosplay, role play shit. But yes, in this case it's probably a duck.

2

u/MediumAwkwardly Feb 02 '25

Listen, the ducks are innocent here.

2

u/Grand-Power-284 Feb 02 '25

What if it’s a platypus that swallowed one of those squeaky toys, and all you can see is its head?

2

u/corporategiraffe Feb 02 '25

it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

2

u/SMuttbUGGLER Feb 02 '25

Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and steps like a goose.

2

u/Level_Ad3808 Feb 03 '25

And if a dog makes a sound that sounds like a quack, then it is definitely a duck, and not a dog at all. No room for debate or consideration. I heard it, plain as day. I can't mishear things.

2

u/middlegroundnb Feb 03 '25

We regret to inform you, the milkshake duck is racist.

2

u/RuffaRoo_ Feb 02 '25

This gotta be the quote of the decade here, QUACK!

1

u/esmerelda_b Feb 02 '25

A Nazi duck

1

u/tacorama11 Feb 02 '25

Steps like a goose.

1

u/kn0wF3AR Feb 02 '25

When it steps like a goose…

1

u/Any_Mulberry_2435 Feb 02 '25

In this case, a fuck

1

u/leeperpharmd Feb 02 '25

No, it’s a witch!!

1

u/MalignantLugnut Feb 02 '25

Is there a German version of that saying? I'd like to learn.

1

u/Barl0we Feb 02 '25

If it steps like a goose…

1

u/Far_Buddy8467 Feb 02 '25

So a witch?

1

u/Dtmrm2 Feb 02 '25

Or sometimes it's someone who identifies as a duck.

1

u/BARD3NGUNN Feb 02 '25

This.

If Musk had merely done the salute, you could maybe chalk it up to him just being a bit weird and not realising the majority of the world would see it as a Nazi Salute - but when he follows it up by giving a speech in Germany saying "You shouldn't be ashamed of your past", responds to allegations by saying "Getting called a Nazi is so old, its boring", and posts photos of himself at Auschwitz - kind of impossible not to see him as a Nazi.

1

u/eatingclass Feb 02 '25

when the duck milkshakes right outta the gate

1

u/Creasentfool Feb 03 '25

When it quacks like a duck, steps like a goose and gets tried at the Hague. Its probably a Tech Bro.

1

u/firestorm713 Feb 03 '25

I heard someone say "if it honks like a goose and steps like a goose...."

1

u/Dazzling_Analyst_596 Feb 03 '25

Yeah but I'm an original person

73

u/GeneralZaroff1 Feb 02 '25

So he did the Nazi salute, refused to deny that it was a Nazi salute, supports Nazis on his platform, also funds Nazi parties.

I wonder what you call someone like that.

21

u/willi5x Feb 02 '25

Also, Trump sure doesn’t seem to mind having a man that is openly a Nazi in his administration. What would you call an administration that openly welcomes members that are nazis?

4

u/Bahamut_Flare Feb 02 '25

So what you're saying is Elon is a DEI hire because we have to have some diversity and not discriminate against the Nazis? /j

2

u/TrowTruck Feb 02 '25

Yes. It’s just so wild. If it wasn’t a Nazi salute, he still knows that white supremicists are relishing the moment, and isn’t that a reason enough to distance himself from them and deny it was one?

1

u/Intelligent_Way6552 Feb 03 '25

refused to deny that it was a Nazi salute

He has denied it. In a nod nod wink wink way, but he has technically denied it. Claimed he was giving his heart out.

-4

u/Dtmrm2 Feb 02 '25

"My invisible friend said he's a Nazi and he refuses to counter my invisible friend's claim"

-7

u/MacNessa1995 Feb 02 '25

Which "Nazis" and their parties? You mean any person or party which is slightly right of centre? And... Oh yeah Musk the Nazi who encouraged HB1 visas (which promote non-white immigration) and assisted Israel via his starlink? If he's a Nazi, he's doing a terrible job at showing it

11

u/GettingDumberWithAge Feb 02 '25

If he's a Nazi, he's doing a terrible job at showing it

I don't know I'd say the nazi salute was a pretty good job of showing it.

5

u/strider85 Feb 02 '25

I don’t get you lot - why not be proud of who you are and who you support? You don’t need to pretend you’re something you’re not pal. Part of me thinks the fact you do all these mental gymnastics and weird excuses to cover for the nazis you love and admire, shows you know it’s v bad and v wrong…but if that’s what you’re into, just own it like Musk is doing. I imagine he’d be pretty pissed off at anyone for trying to dilute his nazi-ness

4

u/xotyona Feb 02 '25

His intense support for AfD in Germany. The party that has been in legal trouble regularly for using Nazi iconography and language. The Anti-Defamation League has a lot to day about them.

So from where I sit, he's showing quite a lot of support for Nazi sympathizers.

36

u/nankerjphelge Feb 02 '25

He's retweeted neo Nazi content on Xitter, endorsed the extreme right neo Nazi AfD party in Germany, given the full Sieg Heil salute and then when criticized responded with a litany of offensive Nazi and Holocaust jokes.

Dude is a fucking Nazi.

13

u/Yarn_Mouse Feb 02 '25

The dust hadn't even settled from his nazi salute extravaganza before he gave his nazi-apologist speech at the AfD. American media still flummoxed as to his motivations.

2

u/D3X-1 Feb 03 '25

Massive AfD protests in Germany in current news since then.

22

u/MaddyStarchild Feb 02 '25

Raised by Nazis, acts like a Nazi, sympathizes with Nazis, throws up their salute.

If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck....

5

u/punctuation_welfare Feb 02 '25

I believe in this case the phrase is, “If it talks like a goose and steps like a goose…”

0

u/One-Floor2646 Feb 02 '25

They got Nazis out here now? What I miss

6

u/hammurderer Feb 02 '25

And he funds the German far right party, as nazi would

16

u/doesitevermatter- Feb 02 '25

That's because he's a Nazi.

4

u/EngineerNo2650 Feb 02 '25

Nazis sure are not saying “he’s not one of us”.

6

u/SplendidPunkinButter Feb 02 '25

People fixating on “could it possibly have been something other than a Nazi salute” as if there aren’t numerous other reasons to call him a Nazi already. Like how he wrote an op ed praising the AfD

2

u/marksteele6 Feb 02 '25

So here's the thing, I was in that camp when it first happened. What swayed me over the next few days was the fact that rather than apologizing for an unfortunate gesture, he acted proud about it and went on to associate with known extreme alt-right organizations. At that point, there's really no defense for it.

12

u/RuffaRoo_ Feb 02 '25

He is one, the way he is indirectly running and impacting country tells us that

0

u/NMe84 Feb 02 '25

He's worse than a Nazi. At least the Nazis still lifted a whole group of people up above everyone else. Musk doesn't even do that, he only looks out for Number One.

(Just to make sure I'm not misunderstood, this is not me saying Nazis glorifying the Aryan race was good, it's me saying that Musk somehow managed to be even worse than that.)

1

u/Relatively_happy Feb 02 '25

You are completely delusional if you think musk is worse than the actual nazis of adolf, what the fuck am i even reading, they killed 6,000,000 people from across europe and launched rockets into england indescriminantly for 6 years and musk is worse because he fumbled a salute and told a german right wing party not to feel guilty about past atrocities. Are you joking?

Im not even going to mention the things that musk has invested in, because thats not important, what is important is that you learn the sheer weight of actual nazi history and how offensive it is to water that down just so you can defame someone

0

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

You do realize at one point Nazis hadn’t killed anyone yet? Do you know what side of the political spectrum they fell on?

4

u/tssklzolllaiiin Feb 02 '25

if musk didn't do a nazi salute and doesn't want to be accused of being a nazi, he could literally just turn on a livestream tomorrow proclaiming that he's against any and all forms of nazism and its adherents, and then banning nazi content from his site and disassociate with nazis that he's been supporting for months.

he's not going to do any of that, ergo he's a nazi

7

u/pnt510 Feb 02 '25

You know what if Musk came out the next day and apologized and said he fucked up and didn’t mean for his salute to look the way it did, I’d have accepted it. But the fact is we’ve got all these people bending over backwards to justify why what he did was okay and he’s still keeping his mouth shut. His silence speaks volumes.

1

u/Keyarchan Feb 02 '25

I believe it was unintentional. He most likely did it without thinking, probably from doing it so often in private.

-1

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

4

u/pnt510 Feb 02 '25

That article is exactly what I’m talking about. Musk didn’t apologize, he didn’t deny it. He just complained that people called him a nazi.

-2

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

He's not going to apologize for something he didn't think he did.

7

u/pnt510 Feb 02 '25

Well he should. “I’m sorry my salute looked like a nazi salute, it wasn’t my intention.” It’s so simple, but he couldn’t even be bothered.

3

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

Ideally, yes.

3

u/Tusangre Feb 02 '25

Then he would say, "I'm appalled that people think I did a nazi salute. I want nothing to do with them. The Holocaust was real and one of the worst atrocities in modern history."

Done, that's what a normal, non-nazi would say when wrongfully accused of doing a nazi salute.

0

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

I agree with the first paragraph.

There are other personality issues besides Nazi to be stubborn. You are proving his point by saying the only reason is that he's a Nazi.

3

u/spiritusin Feb 02 '25

Sure, then endorsing the German far right party was also a misinterpreted mistake? A little whoopsie?

1

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25 edited Feb 03 '25

So you agree that not apologizing doesn't make him a Nazi if he believes he didnt do anything wrong.

You are moving the goalpost to him supporting the AFD. We can move on to this topic if you wish, but it's two different things.

1

u/spiritusin Feb 03 '25

No, a normal person would be revolted that people thought they were a nazi, they’d apologize and publicly condemn fascism.

But he is a nazi which is clear from a lot of his past actions and most obviously from his support for afd, so he’s not apologizing.

→ More replies (0)

13

u/arbutus1440 Feb 02 '25

All he had to fucking do was say, "oops, that was unintentional." And while that wouldn't be enough for some, it would generally have put it to rest as a little faux pas.

His defenders are nothing but bots and utter sycophants.

-5

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

He has said it was not a Nazi salute, everyone wants to make everything about Nazis, and he's so tired of it.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy48v1x4dv4o.amp

5

u/Particular-Cup-5686 Feb 02 '25

Read your own article. He doesn't say it wasn't a Nazi salute. He just whines.

0

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

He's saying it wasn't with his comment that everyone wants to everything a Nazi salute and he's so tired of it.

If you don't understand that context, you are implying your bias. I bet if you put this into any commercial llm, it would be able to figure that out.

1

u/Particular-Cup-5686 Feb 02 '25

That's the thing. We don't want Elon to contextually, maybe, if a 'commercial llm' read it that way (talk about implying your bias), seem to suggest, that he didn't mean to give a Nazi salute. We want him to say he didn't make a Nazi salute, that he messed up and made an accidental hand gesture that resembles a Nazi salute. But he hasn't, because that would detract from the pro-Nazi stances he has presented elsewhere.

And if you can't understand that, then not only are you 'implying your bias', but fundamentally don't understand the issues at hand. Fuck Nazis.

-1

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

Ideally he would say I'm sorry for offending people, but I can't see him doing that.

That still doesn't mean he's a Nazi.

2

u/Particular-Cup-5686 Feb 02 '25

Did I say he was a Nazi? Or did I say he made a Nazi salute and presented pro-Nazi stances?

EtA: Fuck Nazis

0

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

Price fixing was also a pro Nazi stance, but that doesn't mean communists are Nazis.... I'm not sure what stances you are talking about here.

Besides, it's the general consensus on Reddit that he's a Nazi and that's what we are talking about.

1

u/Particular-Cup-5686 Feb 02 '25

Then you're just being willingly ignorant about his lack of censorship and reposting of neo-nazi posts on his personal social media platform as well as his defense of the far-right AfD party (read: neo-nazis) in Germany. It's almost remarkable how you're cherry-picking your defense of Musk.

And you're not talking about the general consensus on Reddit. You're talking to me. Who has made several points that you're fundamentally unable to argue against. Musk has not denied his salute has a Nazi salute, Musk has made pro-Nazi statements, and yet here you are babbling about how his tweet could be contextually read by a commercial AI as a denial. Please.

3

u/x3nodox Feb 02 '25

Uh, yeah. You don't go around doing the Nazi salute if you're not also about all the rest of their shit. No one is Nazi saluting for shits and giggles, they're doing it to convey that they really like Nazi shit.

How is this still surprising

5

u/broad_street_bully Feb 02 '25

Probably due to all of his actual Nazi-ness.

2

u/blazurp Feb 02 '25

Fascist, call them fascists. Calling them Nazis will just allow them to control the conversation about how they can't be Nazis since they're not mass murdering the Jewish community. Idiots will then be convinced that they're not Nazis. They however can't argue against not being fascists.

1

u/-Dubwise- Feb 03 '25

They don’t think fascism is bad though. They proudly claim “antifa(cist)“ as their adversary.

1

u/blazurp Feb 03 '25

The target of conversation is young people that may fall into fascist propaganda. Not allowing the fascists to hide behind their objectivist rhetoric and alternative fact reasonings is what's important. Kids don't yet know how to connect the dots, they need guidance.

2

u/LaserPoweredDeviltry Feb 02 '25

An insecure Nazi.

2

u/Cachemorecrystal Feb 02 '25

He also bans and deletes A LOT OF PEOPLE.

2

u/TonyDungyHatesOP Feb 02 '25

He also spoke at an event for the German AfD Party; the current extreme right-wing incarnation of the Nazi party.

2

u/littlewhitecatalex Feb 02 '25

You know what Nazis did immediately after seizing control in the 1930s? They started crying “censorship” any time they were criticized in order to systematically silence anyone who opposed them. That’s where we currently are.

2

u/NMe84 Feb 02 '25

Yeah, whether or not he did the salute barely even matters anymore. His actions speak loud enough even if you completely ignore the obvious Nazi salute. I see no reason to engage with people defending the gesture anymore because in the grand scheme of things, it's one of the least worrying things he and Trump have done.

2

u/kooeurib Feb 02 '25

He comes from apartheid-derived generational wealth so he basically is a nazi

2

u/Level_Ad3808 Feb 03 '25

And in one fell swoop, koensch57 completely insulted the memories of all the victims of the Holocaust by recklessly accusing someone of being a Nazi because he took away someone's blue checkmark on twitter.

4

u/Nekryyd Feb 02 '25

Standard crypto-fascism. Think of 4Chan's /pol and how swiftly things moved from, "We're nazis but only IRONICALLY to trigger the normies, trololo!" to simply just being out and proud nazis.

Everyone who is a white nationalist scumbag is going to see what Elon did and understand what's going on, and contribute to the gaslighting of everyone else. You average person is too afraid to confront the idea that their society is shifting into something straight out of a nightmare, so they are willing to accept that it couldn't have possibly been what their lying eyes told them they saw. The "liberal" media helps keep them all tucked in and cozy in the bed that's on fire by knowingly or unknowingly following along with the crypto-fascist gameplan. They "both sides" the issue, they call it a "straight arm gesture", they boost the noise to signal ratio and let it become a matter of debate.

The goal is to keep everyone confused until it's too late. Until everyone is doing "straight arm gestures" unironically and you are the odd one out if you don't.

1

u/Aware-Classic-8827 Feb 02 '25

I love that you spelled Musk like Bossk from star wars lol

1

u/Minimum_Attitude6707 Feb 02 '25

I sit in the camp where I don't think Musk intentionally did a nazi salute, but is just a spazz. That said, I hate him for being fascist by somehow gaining sweeping powers over our government agencies, a position that wasn't voted on by us or our representatives.

We literally live in the worst timeline

1

u/TeeManyMartoonies Feb 02 '25

You know what I learned today? That X in the ascii table is 88. 88 is a Nazi symbol. It’s been in front of us the whole time.

1

u/rarsamx Feb 02 '25

Somewhere else people commented on his cow lick hair cut.

That haircut seems to me, is a homage to a particular infamous failed artist.

1

u/saymaz Feb 02 '25

If it looks like a duck.

1

u/bobartig Feb 02 '25

Exactly this!!! He was acting like a nazi before the salute. We don't have to pretend like this is some deviation from his ordinary pattern of behavior. He keeps showing up at AfD rallies and encouraging them to "embrace their history". It isn't subtle.

1

u/SadPanthersFan Feb 02 '25

He also spoke at an AfD rally after his Nazi salutes, but he’s totally not a Nazi!

1

u/taggat Feb 02 '25

Who remembers the time he agreed with a Neo-Nazi on his platform and then gave a Nazi salute, and then spoke at the German far right AfD conference, but I'm supposes to give the him and the salute the benefit of the doubt.

1

u/Turbulent_Term_4802 Feb 02 '25

Deep and insightful

1

u/Amdvoiceofreason Feb 02 '25

And what do we do with Nazis,...I'll tell ya what!!! We fuck em with a bazooka and wait till they cum with the common sense they've been missin! Fuck Nazis

1

u/That_Artsy_Bitch Feb 02 '25

He also was a guest speaker for a known Neo-Nazi group so…

1

u/BlackIrish96 Feb 02 '25

Cos he is a fucking nazi!!

1

u/XSinTrick6666 Feb 02 '25

Apparently he is so mad that Wikipedia posts that pic, he and Heritage Foundation are trying to figure out how to hack Wikipedia to dox whoever keeps posting it! Ha ha ha

LOSERS!

Jimmy Wales: "I think Elon is unhappy that Wikipedia is not for sale"

1

u/awwhorseshit Feb 02 '25

He wants to control everything. Megalomaniac.

Why does he attack Reddit and Wikipedia?

1

u/ZainMunawari Feb 02 '25

Yes, indeed.

The intoxication of power made him nuts.

Feels like he just wants to take complete control of everything and anything.

1

u/ActionKbob Feb 02 '25

If it looks like a duck, and walks like a goose...

1

u/SunsetCarcass Feb 03 '25

Then goes around wondering why nobody reichs him

1

u/Repulsive_Spite_267 Feb 03 '25

Yep....he goose steps to work every day and puts the ashes of jews on his cornflakes

1

u/PresidentPumpkinHead Feb 03 '25

Musk did the salute so when he did his speech at a public AFD rally the week after they would suck his dick and generate more momentum for an open Nazi party who is now the second largest party in Germany thanks to the funding of U.S businesses just like they did with the third Reich.

Elon is just the U.S's puppet, it's bigger than these two little men.

1

u/Dismal_Eye_6640 Feb 05 '25

Yeah! What does he even do after all? Make a rocket to get humans to Mars? So stupid. Reddit is by far doing more for humanity than his stupid SpaceX and Tesla inventions. Reddit brings joy to the masses. Who’s with me!?

0

u/lionelmessiah1 Feb 02 '25

You mean how he openly supports Jews? Or when he went against MAGA lunatics to support legal immigrants?

-1

u/Dtmrm2 Feb 02 '25

Can you link me to the article where he hunted jews, imprisoned them, exterminated them, and attempted to take over Europe. Thanks bud!

0

u/koensch57 Feb 02 '25

it only took a few years to orginize that. Want to see where this might go?

Hitler and the german war machine were empowered by the big companies if that time, like Krupp, BASF, and many other captains of industry.

0

u/Dtmrm2 Feb 02 '25

Oh so not exactly like a Nazi, just kind of, maybe.

Maybe you can remind me.

Who has the full support of the military industrial complex? Is it Musk? Or is it the members of Congress?

Threatening to buy a website cause they made fun of you is pretty fascist. Ngl

Especially as a gov employee.

I mean, it's childish...

But I think you and I have different views of fascism. You can still make fun of musk on twitter.

He got it removed for a day. He still refuse to believe that musk isn't cheating. Asmon took it as a joke.

I haven't followed the saga too closely to be honest though, but what you are comparing is a spat between people. I see comments trashing him on twitter all the time. It's about who you follow.

Yeah but asmon took it as a (poor) joke and he got it back the next day. I don't think this is as serious of a conflict as people are making it out to be.

If there is widespread banning for shitting on musk it might put it in a different light.

Asmon didn't apologize or get back in line. He still says musk is cheating. Musk later admitted it. He literally said he pays someone to play his account with him.

No the argument and removal of checkmate at the time wasn't about the salute. It was about cheating in PoE

Lol, where did it say anything about that? You could always choose not make things up...

Do you think that disagreeing with your comment deserves a lifetime ban? What if I’m the mod and I disagree with you, is disagreeing with me worthy of a lifetime ban?

“Reddit continues to be anti-free speech,” Cedric Hohnstadt said on X. “I just got a lifetime ban from the ‘comics’ subreddit. Yesterday, I posted a humor comic that got over 5,400 upvotes. Then I noticed that there was a pinned post from the moderators saying that comics linked from X could no longer be shared because Musk gave a Nazi salute. I commented saying no he didn’t. The moderator accused me of being pro-Nazi, banned me permanently for life, and deleted all my past posts from the ‘comics’ subreddit. But somehow Elon Musk is the totalitarian?”

Anyone who want to spin reality by saying Musk didn't perform nazi salute supports nazis.

u/oracleofnonsense Feb 02 '25

If I disagree with you, then it’s the ban hammer?

9

u/Dizzy-Revolution-300 Feb 02 '25

Are you disagreeing with reality?

-1

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

If he is or isn't, it doesn't matter. YOU are right. Freedom of speech is a Nazi fascist thing.

u/Dizzy-Revolution-300 Feb 02 '25

Freedom of speech = posting on Reddit lmao

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25 edited Feb 02 '25

It doesn't equate to freedom of speech as it relates to the first ammendment of the government isn't involved.

But broadly, preventing someone from speaking is a lack of freedom of speech.

By definition. So.... yes. It's part of the broad term.

Edit: that's what I thought

1

u/Dizzy-Revolution-300 Feb 02 '25

I'm gonna prevent you from speaking by blocking you now, Walt

That is not matter of opinion, that's a fact. Like the fact that earth is not flat. Or that 2+2 is 4. There is nothing to disagree with. Only thing you can do it denying reality and facts. And yes, I am all for banning people that spread misinformation.

3

u/deikobol Feb 02 '25 edited Feb 02 '25

There's no disagreement to be had. It's on video.

You could disagree that it happened if someone was accusing him of doing it without evidence. But it's not up for debate.

3

u/LaserPoweredDeviltry Feb 02 '25

That's literally how moderation works, yes.

Mods set policy, and if you don't follow it you get banned.

Simple as.

u/WaltKerman Feb 02 '25

Yes. Freedom of speech is a Nazi ideal and obviously fascist. How could you see it any other way.
