This is the reason why no government or entity should ever be allowed a backdoor into any encryption system.

Next time any government wants to "protect the children" or insert other generic emotional reaction here by forcing backdoors into encryption systems, remember the overwhelming good things they for us.

Homie it never was E2E. It uses SSL, and the traffic is even encrypted in-flight with Telegram keys, but that encryption is between you and Telegram, not between you and the other person.

Other than that Durov is a very shady character, who claimed to have left russia for good, yet had a whole Telegram department working in the same VK offices for years after that

Telegram knows everything you say and do by default. Nothing is end-to-end encrypted.
