I see that there are a lot of questions in this sub regarding lifting, so I will leave this sticky for anyone looking for advice!
First and foremost, you do not NEED a gym membership to get stronger for throwing. Almost all of these exercises can be performed with dumbbells (for you planet fitnessers), bands, or anything heavy-ish you can hold in your home. So, here is a short (lol) list for you to keep in mind while building a lifting program.

Good afternoon everyone!
Hope all the high schoolers had a great season! We've recently been seeing more posts getting hit by automod spam filters. I will start to look into this, but in the meantime, feel free to send a mod mail if the filter hits your post and does not let it go through and I will manually approve it.
Thanks everyone!

At my last meet, I just kept scratching. I'm not completely sure why. Any tips?

i listened and practiced the advice i got from this app, along with talking and practicing steps with a very skilled coach prior to this throw. I know my left hand is reaching inwards and is serving no use throughout my throw, but is there anything else striking to work on? Right handed thrower btw and the throw here was PR 101.0ft, coming from before where my PR was 85.6ft.

Any immediate form changes I can make to get an extra couple of meters? Both throws are in the 38m range and I need to hit 40m in the next 3 weeks for a qualifier. Cheers!

I posted yesterday and the number one thing I got is transferring my weight over the knee and getting a wide and long sweep leg

Officially doubled my PR from freshman year as a junior! Hard work paid off, and I’ve still got another year to go. Not looking for advice rn, just focused on gearing up for the season. To all the new throwers: Never give up! You never know how far you can make it with hard work and discipline!

I have not been throwing well at all this year, I scratched all of my throws the first meet and had distances I wasn’t happy with at all in the second. I have a really bad problem with my nerves, so I just panic when I’m in the ring. There’s also something wrong with my form that is making me over rotate and I can’t break the habit or figure out what is causing it. If you have any tips to help with my throws, whether it’s a problem I mentioned or not, please tell me, I want to get out of this slump. Thank you

Discus btw. I want to be able to compare form vs a good throw, but the most I can find is tips and things like that which don’t really show a real throw.

(I believe I placed first in both but am not sure) So I have been throwing for quite a while but on my own, no coaching. Here are my results from today: (7th grade) discus/69.9ft, and shot/30.10ft. Do you think this is a good start?

My PR is 115’1”, and I figure there’s quite a bit to improve with my form. I haven’t had a whole lot of great coaching so any help would be appreciated. Also, ignore the crappy ring, it’s all we have.

If you slow down the video, you can see my leg sort of "tangled up" and my body starts to collapse. Thank you

Any certain workouts I should be doing to improve my power cleans? Been spamming plyometrics and hang cleans but something feels like it's missing. Any ideas?

Last few weeks of my hammer career any little bit helps. Any helpful drills to improve footwork, release and overall balance. I’ve had 3 coaches in 4 years of college and am self “coaching” myself and others on my team best I can. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

I recently had my circles done to throw, but my shoes have been degradating on the sole. Do you think it should be more smooth?
