Turns out having access to all the world's knowledge in the palm of your hand doesn't make a difference if people can't tell the truth from fabrications.
there is also an access/distribution problem. cheap, low-quality "information" is abundant due to algorithms sorting for it. Tiktok, instacrap, etc. deliver the most volume of content to users over other internet intermediaries.
the parallels with internet trash and fast food write themselves. try finding a reliable food option at the gas station that won't constipate you.
