Programming HWPO LIFT program with Aimee Anaya Everett? Thoughts?

I am on day 40 of this program. I don’t mind it, the workouts do seem very long and a bit monotonous, but that’s expected and that’s how they advertise it. But how does this program compare to other ones, specifically from catalyst, or cal strength, etc?

It’s too early for me to tell.

But I will say I feel pressured to do the accessories and metcon at the end of each workout and I reeeally just do not want to do them….

Has anyone been doing this program for a while and can speak to it/compare it with others?

It always seemed more directed at CFers.

Aimee has another program on TrainHeroic for her girls.

You should be doing accessories.

Metcons, meh.

To clarify, I do accessories, I just don’t like doing the ones in the program.

I don’t have any experience with this specific program, but the main lifts and main strength exercises (squats, pulls, pressing etc) are the bread and butter of a program.

Accessories are generally “looser” (for lack of better words), so if you have other things you have identified you need to work on (or just want to for enjoyment), you would probably be better doing those.

While all weightlifters need to do snatch, C&J, squats etc, accessories are more individual specific. Random accessories for the sake of it probably won’t be of much benefit, moreso those you (or your coach if you have one) thinks you need to do.
