Lorepost (open interaction) š The Golden Horde rises
To the far east, father than most care to travel, a threat rises. Nomadic tribes of wolf-men, usually in a state of constant conflict with eachother, have begun to consolidate.
A border tribe grew powerful and rich through raiding beyond the Lupine Steppe, soon they began to conquer their neighbours and have become the dominant force in the steppe. The tribe has begun to call itself "The Golden Horde"
They soon began to raid and conquer far beyond their homeland, taking control of trade routes and burning farmlands, villages, and entire cities. Within an astonishingly short time they amassed one of the largest land empires the world has ever known.
Their army numbers near the millions, yet they strike with speed like lightning, as their horse archers out-maneuver and rain hundreds of arrows on their enemies before the greater army comes to finish the job with ruthless efficiency
They now control almost all trade routes connecting the west to the east, profiting handsomely getting "protection" payments from travellers and traders
Few have seen their leader, the illusive Khotun Khan, and even fewer have lived to tell anyone. All that is known about him is that he is a warrior of undeniable prowess, a general of extreme cunning, and allegedly chosen by the spirits that the raiders venerate so greatly to conquer the world
Recently, the horde has heard of the wizards, dragons, beasts and magic of the west, and now they come to to conquer this land and learn the secrets of magic

You see an armoured wolf-man near the edge of the camp. He shouts at you in a language you can not understand. However, you can intuit he's likely challenging you to a duel as he brandishes his sword above his head in an attempt at intimidation

With a good measure of flair, Sigurd holds his hands together. When he pulls them apart, a sword appears between them, which he seizes.

Within a few minutes, the projection is spotted. One of them shouts a command, and 6 arrows are shot in unison at the projection

Chloe: they pass through the projection harmlessly...as it's not a physical object, closer in nature to a ghost but just completely non physical yet visible and she lands getting as close to the ground as she can without phasing through it and speaks before chuckling rude.

As a sign of both goodwill, and to show that the residents of the wizard lands will not be afraid, Ulrick decided to personally visit the Golden Horde as an envoy. Not to mention hisā¦ condition might put the lupine natives more at ease.
He travels to the nearest camp of the Golden Horde to the west, carrying a message with himself.

He puts up a strange device at his own throat, then after some discomfort, he starts to speak in a way that is instantly translated. Cutting edge R&A magitech (barely tested).
Greetings, Golden Horde. My name is Ulrick Nikolaus Braddocke IV, current member of the Wizard Council, leader of Relief&Aid department.
I bought a message with me, which Iām asking to be delivered to your leadership.
He holds up a rolled up scroll with a seal.

Greetings. I hope thisāll be remembered as a good starting point of the relationship between the wizards and the Golden Horde.
The scroll contains a peace offering and suggestions of relationships between the two political powers.

As the king of Saerkal gets deposed by his advisor Carbet, news of the horde approaching begins to reach the kingdom

Sanatos Rin thinks to themself about the danger that this new threat poses. Long has he been in solitude, slowly growing his power and waiting for the world to need help again. Should Sanatos intervene? The answer is of course yes. No danger as great as this can be ignored by any good wizard, or any good person in general.
Sanatos swims out of his tower into the vast ocean that they call home. Behind him is his vast horde of summons, constructs, and animal allies that aid them in every conflict that he partakes in. And they will aid Sanatos in this one, as well.
Sanatos Rin conjures a massive portal from his tower in the Otanic Ocean to an inland lake the far East. This would be the beginning of his crusade against the Golden Horde. Sanatos knows that he will not be alone in this. They never are. The East would be saved and the west would be defended from harm. Sanatos will find this Golden Horde and use all of the strength that he has to defeat it, aided by their allies and whatever other wizards choose to go down the same path that he is.
Sanatos starts his quest to look for whatever bands of the Golden Horde that he can find and defeat them, weakening their numbers. Eventually, Sanatos will attempt to find their leader and attempt to defeat him, hopefully alongside others. But first, Sanatos must learn who these people are and how they fight. And how best to cripple their forces.

Shadeholmeās shadow spies keep an eye on the hoardās progress. During any nighttime raids or travel the shadows clear paths forward in directions away from Shadeholme while making paths to it harder to travel. With Shadeholme relying on Naval trade, having a new empire mess with overland routes is hilarious to them.

A rift shatters open far in the path from the horde's march. Out of it, steps a large man clad in steel.
His chestplate is adorned with snake scales, and his right arm appears to be entirely mechanical from the shoulder down.
He... Has not immediately noticed the horde, and is just casually traveling down the path.

A Type 15 Karigane reconnaissance plane of the Imperial Okuno Air Service flew over one of their camps. A crew member aboard the plane took various high quality photos of the camp via thoughtography. The photos would be sent to imperial military intelligence and assess their threat level.

Nook flies over the field watches as a village erupts into flames flys at top speed towards the villlage as he sees the massive army of wolves he says
I SUMMON YOU NOKIA TITAN
as the titan drops from the sky crushing hundreds of soliders it starts charging its massive beams of energy killing thousands of wolves in a blink
"might have been over kill but saving that village was worth it.... THE VILLAGE I FORGOT ABOUT THE VILLAGE" as nook turns his head to see now the village reduced to ash with everything and one in it he slaps his forehead in a way people call dramatic

Ten Suns considered their options. Obviously this horde would become a problem if left unchecked. Direct conflict was considered. Defeat them in war before they can gain any more technology or magic knowledge. The problem is with their warrior culture they'd probably redouble their efforts and aggression. And more importantly direct it towards the Bizlands which the expanding horde would eventually reach if they kept expanding.
Ten Suns decided to go with the diplomatic option. The Golden Horde seemed to revere spirits and Ten Suns held Gaia's power and thus dominion over nature and its spirits. Perhaps they could leverage their position to convince the Golden Horde to obey or at least be friendly towards the Bismuth.
They sent a member of the Bizlands alongside a group of Bismuth elementals to go talk with the Golden Horde. Ten Suns sent a host of spirits who had quickly bent the knee to the new Gaia so that this member of the Bizlands appeared to be blessed by the spirits. They had a soft voice and would speak only praises about the Bizlands and Ten Suns to the spirits allied to the Golden Horde before the Bizlander's arrival.
The diplomat had a simple opening statement.
"I am here by the will of Gaia. Spirit of the planet"
