Evil Wizardpost Triple Calamity
Early one evening to the south of the kingdom of Rando a volcano erupts. There were no towns nearby fortunately, but the eruption was quite large and many large pieces of molten rock were flung much farther than its typical eruptions. One impacted Rando’s school of wizardry. This would have been fine normally, but the crystals and gems powering the defenses of the schools turned out to be cracked. Nobody is sure how that happened but it was enough to allow the molten rock to strike the school and kill the students, the headmaster and, coincidentally, the king’s court wizard who happened to be attending the graduation ceremony.
Shortly after the rival nation of the Republic of Knowhere experienced an erathquake. The damage the earthquake caused was extensive but not too bad, right up until the tsunami that also resulted from the earthquake hit the capital city of whatits Port. Now this wasn’t the first time a tsunami had struck and so the city had powerful enchanted levies and sea walls that had even just been reinforced by a dwarven craftsman. Unfortunately the earthquake itself damged them just enough that the wall of water flooded catastrophically through and while most of the city survived, the College of Sorcery was wiped out along with its visiting Council of Mages.
Naturally both nations blamed each other of sabotage and prepared to go to war despite both nations being severely weakened when it came to their magical corps. This left the true culprit laughing from deep within the earth and congratulating himself for some very fine and subtle Geomancy, an expertly thrown rock, and a clever scheme that caused both Calamities and resulted in what would be a calamitous war.

I’m impressed that that Rando’s School of Wizardy is still in existence at all. I would’ve thought that those Rando’s would’ve been driven off by now.

Hearing the volcanic eruption of Rando, and the earthquake of Knowhere, Ulrick sends teams of Relief Force to both location to serve as disaster relief.
Meanwhile, he also tries his best to help mend the relationship between the two nations, with the support of peace talks and envoys. However, this is a tough nut to crack. He definitely needs a drink. Or several…

the Relief Force will find a war zone brewing and lots of weapons flowing into the nations from an outside source.

They try to do their best, while looking for information where the shipments could came from, usually by asking the locals or examining leapons left laying around.

After this conclusion, RF reports back to the HQ of what they’ve found. Back there, Ulrick would start to plan how to investigate this furter, maybe through diplomatic connections into Shadeholme.
He tells the Relief Force to resume their humanitarian aid.

A natural disaster strikes, and they instantly go to blame one another? Shameful. They can't fathom the fact that nature's a bitch. Nature is all encompassing, manipulative, and sadistic. Hang on, that sounds familiar... Nah, can't be.
