Discussion Ogun has very evil energy

Upvotes

The sounds are so chilling. All the pads and bell presets have such a unique dark sound to them. Hard for me to incorporate it much in my music, but sometimes I just love playing with it and making something really sinister

Discussion What is one tip you learned that helped with your entire mixing process?

Whether it be making a beat or something you found with a plug-in, what has been the best tip you have ever found to level up your mixing process? For me, it was the use of the limiter and learning how to sidechain beats are my main focus and I'm able to create really cool effects with em. Especially when you pair it up with other effects

Help FL Studio Odd Render

Upvotes

So I use FL Studio for composition, and then I will export the tracks out to reaper for a surround sound 16 channel piece, And So I clicked Export all playlist tracks from song start, with enabled mastered and track effects, but when I wanted to see if the song balance would remain post export, it did not. belllow I have attatched a full song render from FL Studio, and the recompiled Stems from Audacity. Is there anyway to export and retain the balance for individual stems, I might be wrong but I think it just applied the effects individually to each track. so when it was recompiled in audacity it just lost alll balance.

Help I need some help with my Melody.

The melody in the beginning, and in the hook is cool I think, but the one for the verse sounds a bit weird. Maybe some ideas how to flip the sample from the hook into a fitting part for the verse?

Discussion Any plugins for autotune?

I wanted to put vocals on one of my projects I’ve made and wanted to use autotune for one of the effects. Although, I know most autotunes aren’t free. I don’t know too much about it but most of them require a subscription to use right? I only have the signature edition of FL, not the producer so I don’t have pitcher either though from a bit of reading, pitcher isn’t that great. Are there any maybe one time purchasable autotune plugins? Or maybe even one that isn’t that bad that’s free?

Help price to upgrade from fruity to producer

Upvotes

It told me originally that it was an 80 dollar price to upgrade, which makes sense $100 -> $180 is $80 more, but when I get to the image-line page its saying 130 euros, which is 140 something usd.. any help?

also, i think its so backwards that you cant reopen your files with the fruity edition.. whats the point of having that shiii?

it lets you download them, but not reopen them, like that isnt one of the primary functions of using a file

its js there to lure ppl into buying the cheapest option and then committing to the producer edition because they already spent the $100, big middle finger to whoever made fl studio

Discussion Would it be worth it using moving blankets for sound dampening in my bedroom?

Has anyone ever done this? If not, please give me your thoughts but I’ve seen online that if you’re in a budget, you can hang up moving blankets on your walls and your door to dampen the sound, do you think that would be worth doing for my studio monitors if you truly believe it would give me a significant sound reduction? I figure it would be worth it even if let’s say at the least I only got a 20% sound reduction.

Help Why does the beat I made sound so different on my headphones and earbuds?

I've tried playing the unmixed and first version of mixed (new to mixing & mastering) beat across different outputs, and on my earbuds (which are imo way better than the headphones) the beat had significantly worse quality and overall just sounded like it was being played from my ass. Should I boost high frequencies? I can link headphones and earbuds in the comments.

Help How can I link a MIDI knob to control an automation clip in FL Studio?

I'm trying to assign one of my MIDI controller knobs to directly control the Vital - Macro 1 automation clip in FL Studio. I currently have the knob mapped to record automation in real time within the Pattern, but I'd prefer to link the MIDI knob to the automation clip itself so I can retain full envelope editing and keep the automation separate from the MIDI note data. Is there a way to do this?

Help Recording electronic guitar

I want to record electric guitar but I'm aware that you need to pass the signal through an amp before connecting it to the audio interface, however my amp sucks so I was wondering if there's a way I can skip the amp part and just connect the guitar directly into the audio interface using some settings or a plugin to make it work, maybe a third party digital amp or something similar directly inside FL? Thanks in advance.

Help One specific element in my mix becomes so much louder after rendering. Why?

The mix in my flp sounds perfect, but when I hit export there's one sample that becomes so much louder. It's just a sampler channel instrument and there are no effects on it. How to fix it?
