Bringing steaks to a friend’s house.. how would you do it?
You're being downvoted by people who have never been through what you're describing, but you're spot on

Help out this 40yr old player to use shockwaves
There are maps where you can practice them. If you're an old school gamer, think rocket jumps. Throw at the ground then jump over them. If you time it right the shock wave will send you where you want to go

Traeger fire
When you say waiting for smoke before turning it up, how long is that? I never turn mine up until the smoke has mostly gone, meaning the fire pot is fully engulfed. The only time my traeger has had issues like you're describing is when I've turned it up too quickly. I learned early on to let it preheat.

Bet she was proud to upload this
For those who don't understand, I think this is a (failed) attempt to make a joke about "my mind on my money and my money on my mind" Gin & Juice lyrics.
I think. It's seriously so bad it's all I can think of.

Not half bad actually

How did Hawaii do during Covid, when travelers weren't allowed?

I'm not bragging. But I really want to know. Why did my ribs turn out great?
Congrats on being a rib hero to the wife. :) I think you probably benefitted from the lower temp. I've tried to speed up the process by going to 275 during the wrapped phase and ended up with charred foil and any moisture I added long gone.

I suck at shooting
OK, quick Google search will help you find settings even right here in over 40. Not sure why someone downvoted me; you can immediately improve by adjusting your settings especially if you're used to other games. The exponential boost vs linear absolutely sucks in this game.

I suck at shooting
What platform? If it's a console, I recommend googling controller settings the pros use. Once I fine tuned my settings and made things linear vs the accelerated stick movement I got exponentially better at hitting multiple shots, especially at range. My girls even noticed. I still suck, but not as bad. Lol

Partner has 300k of student loans, seeking advice
The heart wants what the heart wants. If she's amazing in every other category, then plan on helping with the debt and extend your goals further out. There's more to life than money, and to me, finding the right person to share it with is much more important than what you have in the bank.

Can't find a job. I may be forced into Coastfire. Is this a decent plan?
What happens when your renter flakes or your house needs a big Capex repair? Renting is not all it's cracked up to be unless you find the perfect tenants.
Most of the people i know who have dabbled with renting do it as a side hustle, and several have stopped because it doesn't outperform traditional investing.

Should I sell my 1.9 million dollar home and invest it instead?
Surviving on $40k a year while not maximizing savings isn't what FIRE is about. I'm going to guess you also don't have nearly a year's income in debt, either. If you do...well, that's another conversation for another post.

Should I sell my 1.9 million dollar home and invest it instead?
Credit to you for doing the homework. The opportunity in front of you is what people dream of. If you do it right, it won't matter what a paramedic makes in your new town. You won't need to work, or if you do for health insurance, you can do coastfire or baristafire.
If you inherited this as cash, what would you do with it? Pay off your debt, buy a house somewhere you want to live, sock the rest away to generate money while you sleep. Live off the result, travel where and when you want within reason, live a great, long life.

Should I sell my 1.9 million dollar home and invest it instead?
Absolutely, especially when you're in a home that's aging at a clip faster than you can afford to repair it and $65k in debt. This is a complete no-brainer.
If it was me I'd keep it, but faced with the scenario provided I would cash out and ride off into the sunset grateful to whomever gave me the gift to get out of a lose-lose situation.
No disrespect to the OP, but $70k income with $65k in debt means you'll be in the hole for a long, long time before you ever even think about fixing up the house. That's a tough spot to be in if you lived in Topeka, KS, much less one of the most expensive places to live in the entire country.
