What class still has the most "obvious" subclasses missing?

I'm flavoring a plasmoid fathomless warlock to do this. Fathomless tentacle, summon shadowspawn, and eldritch blast + lance of lethargy are pretty easy to make ooze-y.

Grid Question

I'm new to Inkarnate and trying to make some battle maps to import into Foundry VTT. I would like to enable the grid for reference - to line up a wall a gridline, for example. However, Foundry requires the tile width to be a whole number of pixels. Inkarnate requires a whole number of tiles spread across the image, which generally results in tiles having a fractional width (e.g. 70.2 pixels). Is there an easy fix to this that I'm missing?

Apologies if this has been asked many times before. Seems like it would be a common question but I couldn't find anything.

That's fair - I'm using a dice rolling app, which makes it really easy to do half a dozen rolls at once (if warranted).

I'm a new DM with new players, running LMoP. The book specifically tells you to roll stealth once for all the goblins to determine whether the players are surprised. Yet it seems RAW, if my players want to surprise, they ALL have to roll well.

This seems so unbalanced - a group of monsters only need one decent roll to surprise (at least some) players, but our party needs 4-5 rolls all to be decent to do the same? How do other DMs do surprise? My instinct is to make monsters all roll individually too, but then surprises will probably only happen very rarely.

Okay, I gotta admit, this is the second time I’ve been tagged in this sub and I know nothing about it. Is my username relevant somehow, or is there someone else you’re trying to ping?

This one definitely inspired me to check every single thing that remotely looks interactable. There were so many pots, bags, drawers, chests, books, and sparkles that were solidly rewarding.

TIFU by accidentally misgendering a trans woman in a supermarket line
 in  r/tifu  Aug 03 '21

That’s a good point. I use “you guys” all the time, but I can’t think of a single time I’ve used guys as a gendered term. And the female equivalent (gals) is basically gone from the circles/dialects that I interact with.

Why can't you refuel while the engine is running?
 in  r/askscience  Aug 02 '21

Exactly. It will work to an extent while you’re sitting still, but it’s not as efficient and some cars struggle to keep the vehicle cool in really hot weather while sitting still.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation

...Except for VIT and INT seeds. Those are seeds of destruction.

Just remember that you must exile yourself at the beginning of the next end step. Assuming you’re not removed from the game before then (presumably by security).

TIFU by not researching female puberty
 in  r/tifu  Jun 18 '21

Both! Being able to talk to her parents and have them be knowledgeable and understanding is important. But being able to talk to someone who has experienced it themselves and can directly relate is also really valuable.

Edit: If you‘re going to downvote me, care to explain why this is bad advice? I‘d genuinely like to know if I‘m saying something wrong/offensive.

Why the Devs didn't balance the inventory for Male and Female players.
 in  r/outside  Jun 17 '21

There is the [Fanny Pack] accessory, but that also generally comes with a Style penalty. And the [Messenger Bag] equipment has a lot of the same disadvantages as the backpack item. The [Briefcase] item has good style points, but the inventory is super inconvenient to access and it takes up a hand slot.

...Yeah, males definitely have some medium storage equipment penalties.

Sometimes people don’t know everything (or anything) about a culture they’re immersed in - especially in a tiny pocket of it, like a restaurant. That’s an opportunity to educate, not a reason to be offended.

 in  r/outside  Jun 16 '21

Players of either gender have very little inventory space - most of them come from player-created equipment (class:clothing).

There was a meta a long time ago that restricted a lot of female functional customization. A lot of the equipment item creators are still stuck on that old meta. It’s annoying, but they’re (very) slowly catching up to the current meta. I wish I could speed that up but you can only influence others players so much.

Make everything Permeating.
 in  r/BadMtgCombos  Jun 14 '21

Unfortunately permeating mass specifies combat damage, which Chandra’s ignition doesn’t count for.

You could buff Permeating Mass and use [[Bloodscent]] or something like that though.

How do i get in there?
 in  r/dragonquest  Jun 09 '21

There’s a staircase downwards on the first floor that’s a bit tricky to get to, but you’ll find a friend there to help you out.

(Note: I only played the original, and I’m assuming it’s the same in the remake)

I’d just create a new character. Unless the mythical undead patch actually gets made, even if you get dug up you’ll still be locked out from the controls
