[Transfermarkt] Top 10 players with the most appearances for a single club.
 in  r/soccer  2h ago

Wish he could have gone to City instead of PSG - while definitely Messi's style isnt the perfect fit for the PL, it still fits better than in Ligue 1, and if someone can make Messi work in England its definitely Pep Guardiola. But by the time Laporta realised there was no magic he could do to fit Messi's gargantuan wages in the books, City had already bought Grealish. Im pretty sure Pep would have gone for Messi in a heartbeat if he was available before - iirc he tried to go for him in the season before during the burofax saga, but Bartomeu wasnt going to let him go and Messi loved Barca too much to take them to court.

But he definitely deserved a proper farewell. I hope he gets one someday, even if it has to wait until he retires.

Poor Fulham
 in  r/footballmanagergames  10h ago

Even on big clubs this happens sometimes, in my last season at Man Utd i had to play Arsenal, Liverpool, City, Chelsea and Tottenham one after another. And the UCL semis against Real Madrid in the middle of that 🙃

Worst part of it it was going to be my most dominant PL season, then i got 1 point from the first 3 games, i was like 'these mfs wont turn into Botafogo right?'. Fortunately second place City lost to Fulham so i clinched the title after beating Chelsea and Tottenham. But ngl i had a code brown moment there.

This game isn’t real…

No lol that was a Colombian player, Andrés Escobar, and it was after the 94 WC iirc. Palermo is very much alive and well, currently the manager of Olimpia in Paraguay

Why is resto shaman the only healer that uses mana
 in  r/wow  1d ago

In M+ at least, hpriest should never have mana issues unless you have to keep pumping big heals for an extended period of time, which shouldnt happen because it means either people are eating mechanics or the dps isnt enough so the boss is lasting for way longer than it should.

Canales gets into a fight with Demichelis in Mexico and ends up in the hospital with 10 stitches
 in  r/soccer  3d ago

Tbf it was a meme because he spent a big part of his life in Germany - his second* eldest son is even called Bastian and honestly the little dude ('little' he is like 16-18 now) looks so German lol. You know when Argentine football fans make a meme viral, they will repeat that meme to exhaustion.

* he has a now adult son that he had when he was like 19-20 but didnt know of his existence until way later on his life, he then recognised him as his son but nobody outside of him and his family knew until he came to River. Btw idk why Wikipedia calls him 'illegitimate son' considering he had him before he met his wife, he only knew about him later lol

Please stop telling me what to pull
 in  r/wow  4d ago

Some people are just sad, obsessed with optimisation to unhealthy levels, and even worse, they pretend to impose that mentality to the others.

I recently had a DK intentionally pulling for the tank in a +2 motherlode, because he said tank was pulling too slow. Tank then replied he didnt want to pull too high due to his ilvl (around 610-615) so the DK told him he was overgeared for a +2 (lmao 610 is 15 ilvls below weekly quest rewards...). A brief 4v1 argument followed, then the DK left, we ran the key again with another DPS and two chested it.

Yeah, a +2 is piss easy if you know what you are doing. But it is also the literal entry level of M+ - you find a LOT of people that dont know what they are doing, or arent fully confident of knowing. Also, new season, new dungeons, new mechanics, which people may not know, even the old ones, not everyone played BFA or SL. You cannot apply the +12 logic to +2 pugs and expect it to go well.

Nobody doing surge pricing event/in undermine last night? Or did I get put on empty layer?
 in  r/wow  5d ago

People who min max undermine rep may have already completed their goals, people who just want the weekly may have already completed the weekly, and some other people may not even bother with it because honestly it feels very poorly designed, the time window feels too narrow to do 10 jobs if you arent fast. Even worse if you forget about it and start the weekly a few minutes late...

Honestly it reminds me of DF S4, whenever the relevant weekly was Siege of Dragonbane Keep it was a nightmare - it happened every TWO HOURS and since outdoor mobs were pathetically weak to the monstrous end of expansion power creep, the event was done in 5 minutes - you logged in 14:05? Haha noob, too slow, come back in 2 hours. This wasnt nearly as bad with any other weekly since you could either do it whenever you wanted or it had a much more forgiving timing.

Latin Americans are infamous for coming up with nicknames. What is the best/worst nickname you've ever heard?
 in  r/asklatinamerica  5d ago

I once saw a guy in a magazine who was a descendant of two historical figures, Juan Manuel de Rosas (infamous dictator of the mid 19th century) and Manuel Belgrano (independence hero who also created our national flag). His surname was 'Rosas y Belgrano', so his classmates in school called him 'Esquina' (corner/intersection), because his surname sounds like the intersection of two streets.

Why is he asking for such high wages ? He's only worth 10 million
 in  r/footballmanagergames  7d ago

Players from Saudi Arabia can often ask for ridiculous wages, specially if they arent nearing the end of the contract.

For example, i tried to sign Joao Neves for Inter, he was at Al Ahli iirc. Dude asked for like more than twice the wage of my highest earner, Musiala - who already earned like 400k a week. I instantly noped out.

Fast forward a year, im now at Man Utd, and i try to sign Neves again. This time, he is nearing the end of his contract, so not only got him on a free, but also he only asked for like 300k p/w which is like a quarter of the wage he asked for a year ago lol.

M+ iLvl?
 in  r/wow  9d ago

620-630 is going to be okay. Do your weekly quests (specially the first 2 for veteran gear), a couple of bountiful delves (tier 7-8 is enough if you cant survive higher ones - tanks can totally run T9-10 at like ilvl 600), if you have very low ilvl pieces (<600) you may also want to try world quests or AH gear.

Finally, crafting. Weathered crests can be used to upgrade blue gear up to ilvl 629. And the items crafted with sparks give even higher ilvl. Make sure to get the free enchanted runic crest for defeating Gallywix - if you have progressed far enough in the Undermine story you can unlock story mode Gallywix to easily complete that quest.

PSA: this week (at least on US) the World Soul weekly is available and one of its options is Awaken the Machine, which is braindead easy and has its own weekly. So you can do both weeklies in one go and get two pieces of gear plus crests, a bit of gold and a splintered spark in like 8-10 minutes. There is also the 4 mythic dungeon event, you can either do M0 or M+ to complete it.

Tsunoda will finish 2025 F1 season at Red Bull – Marko
 in  r/formula1  9d ago

He actually lost his eye in an F1 race - the 1972 French GP. It was held in the Circuit de Charade in Clermont which went around an old volcano, as a result it was common for little stones to fall to the sides of the track. One of these stones was hit by Ronnie Peterson and got launched right at Marko, went through his visor and hit him in the eye.

(25 was the number Marko used in his last F1 race if Wikipedia is correct)

Please use your kick/interrupt when running M+
 in  r/wow  10d ago

Sadly thats the life of pugs, its a lottery, and you can get some truly horrible players.

In the second week i ran a +2 in Floodgate, just to learn the place. We got a fire mage who never used Combustion. Yes, you are reading it right. The dude was doing 220K DPS. 220 FKING K DPS. That was already low dps in DF S1 for gods sake.

We didnt even manage to kill first boss, tank noped out after wiping once, and honestly i agree with him. Running a key with people that bad is just a waste of your time.

What are most interesting leagues to manage in?
 in  r/footballmanagergames  10d ago

Here in South America we have several unorthodox league formats:

  • Argentina - half the season is the league proper and the other half a sort of league cup. Relegation is another headache: one is simply the worst team of the entire year and the other is the worst average points in the last 3 seasons (excluding the team relegated via the league table). So you can have a situation where you do a respectable season but still end relegated because of your results in previous years lol. Ah, and dont forget the confusing mess of like 3 different super cups. Thankfully, being a game and not real life means you wont be affected by Chiqui Tapia suddenly deciding to change the rules mid season.
  • Brazil - the league itself is classic 38 game, but here you start the year with the state championships. Depending on which state your club plays in, it could either be a fairly competitive tournament or a club version of the OFC world cup qualifying if you are a Serie A club. Not to mention the Copa do Brasil is two legged from R16 onwards, your schedule can get very tight if you also play international cups.
  • Uruguay - idk if the correct format exists in FM, but if it does, then its another weirdo. The season is played in two half season tournaments named Apertura and Clausura - fairly common format in this continent. But then the champions of both tournaments face each other and the winner plays against the team with the highest point tally of the whole season to determine the champion of champions lol. Relegation is also determined by points average here. And finally, if you decide to manage any team that isnt Nacional or Peñarol, good luck. Uruguay is like the Scottish league, anything other than these two teams barely sniffs any silverware ever.
  • Colombia - like Uruguay, you play two mini leagues per year, but here things get even more confusing: at the end of each mini league, the top 8 advance to a sort of second round with two groups of 8 and the two winners of each group face each other in a two legged final to determine the champion. Relegation is also decided by average points.

Is this normal behavior in ToP?
 in  r/wow  11d ago

You dont hold CDs for the buff lol. The duel mechanic is the last one the boss casts - after tankbuster, the banner, the slam and the 3 aoe attacks - are you going to hit him with auto attacks for the first 30 seconds?

The only exception imo is if your CDs will be available right when he is about to cast the duel - in that case you really dont want to use your cds only to be immediately sent into duel and waste most of it.

But what you definitely dont do is go over a stupid argument over a tiny damage buff and leave. Thats an asshole with no justification.

Edit: i clicked to send the comment before i finished writing >_<

[Redbull Via Ig] Announcing that @yukitsunoda07 will partner Max from the #JapaneseGP
 in  r/formula1  11d ago

Good riddance. I havent seen a driver as unlikeable as Liam in many years, while at the same time having the worst performance in RBR history, even if its not 100% his fault. Now the dude supposedly worse than you because you beat him in F3 will get your seat :)

GL Yuki. Going to be a tough mountain to climb, but he is in the best moment of his life to take the chance. The Japanese fans will have a hype for this race higher than Mount Fuji for sure.

De Paul on Messi's absence: "We miss the dwarf a lot, but the important thing is that he recovers, that he's well and that we show him that he can rest assured that the captain has left the ship well-oiled"
 in  r/soccer  12d ago

At least in Argentina we dont have a n word by itself. Simply calling someone "negro" is not a slur. You need to say it in a despective manner, or add an insult. "Negrito" is affectionate and it used regardless of race, we may call white people negrito.

Also, here we mostly use the black slurs for clasism not racism. "Negro cabeza" for example, is used for someone from a poorer neighborhood who may be involved in questionable activities. "Negrada" means something of poor quality and/or questionable looks, which you may find more frequently in poorer neighborhoods. It may have its roots on black people being the poorest back when we had a lot of them, but it doesnt have a race meaning anymore. For example, L-Gante is a relatively popular singer here, he is a living stereotype of "negro cabeza" yet he couldnt be more white.

Sources for lfr color leg gear? Upgraded before using catalyst for desired gear color.
 in  r/wow  12d ago

No, previous season gear cannot be upgraded anymore.

Nerubar LFR is still very easily obtainable via catalyzing Siren Isle warbound gear, but any other difficulty im afraid you need to run the raid itself, if you dont have any leftover gear.

Is Red Bull right to replace Liam Lawson with Yuki Tsunoda after just two races? Motorsport.com's writers debate
 in  r/formula1  12d ago

That was last year, Sargeant wasnt a rookie, he raced all of the 2023 season too. If anything, Williams was the opposite, gave him an entire season, it was clear he wasnt good enough yet the team kept him for 2024.

 in  r/wow  12d ago

"Geared" people doing 0s arent going to be ilvl 642, but more like 600. You are lucky if they even reach 1m overall. And thats not counting the truly bad people, i once had the displeasure of running a +2 with a fire mage who never used combust. He was doing fking 220k dps >_<

Match Thread: Argentina vs Brazil | World Cup Qualifying - CONMEBOL
 in  r/soccer  12d ago

They would have to swap their entire squad with Liechtenstein to not qualify, and even then it would be unlikely. With 4 games left they are 7 points ahead of the last eliminated team, and thats fking Bolivia who is nearly worthless when they dont play in outer space. Not to mention almost any CONMEBOL team going to the intercontinental playoff would be the top seed, meaning they would get a very easy draw. So, even finishing 7th would be a 99% chance of qualifying.
