Discussion Thread: President Trump Holds News Conference - 08/23/2020 | 5:30 pm ET

We have 1/4 of the cases in the entire world, with less than 5% of the global population. For all intents and purposes (literally because Kushner made the conscious decision to try and let it spread to kill liberals when it was primarily infecting NYC), this is the trump virus. China and every other developed country is fine because they are just smarter than Americans

Lol do you think you’re going to have a long career if you don’t agree with your republican bosses about trump?

You’ll never get a raise ever again

We Shouldn’t Have to Remind People George W. Bush Was a Terrible President — The campaign to normalize the George W. Bush presidency is part of a broader campaign to separate the Republican Party from Donald Trump. We should call Bush what he is: a war criminal abroad and a villain at home.

Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures. We just followed the Nixon standard because that’s what the old farts were alive for and understand.

The fact is, we didn’t rise to the occasion as a country, now absolutely everything is riding on Biden winning.

She could hold people accountable for ignoring subpoenas. It’s good to keep in mind for the future though because someday we might respect ourselves and our government enough to demand more accountability.

Arresting trumps kids for the various crimes they’ve committed from fraud, to foreign collusion, to hatch act violations is not stooping to their level because democrats don’t do that kind of cheap crap to begin with.

It’s simply holding people accountable. Pelosi didn’t go after them because she was worried about suburban backlash, not out of concern for Trump Jr

No more hookers and more modest pick up trucks? Oh no! Anything but that!

Pelosi could have been more aggressive. We could have arrested officials with the Sgt at arms and fined them more. We should have went after trumps kids, they are easy targets with no constitutional legal protections.

I expect Barr to arrest a prominent Obama official as an October surprise. Republicans just don’t give a fuck, we shouldn’t either, especially since we’re the ones with the law and morality on our side.

The Republican Embrace of QAnon Goes Far Beyond Trump

Anything to avoid talking about real problems like climate change and falling life expectancy.

They can’t acknowledge any validity to what corporations label as “liberal” on right wing media. So their brains get pulled into all these ugly contortions to try and figure out why the world is so messed up. And it’s just comes down to the fact they don’t value science.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slams top Biden advisor's claim that the growing deficit would limit government spending under a potential Biden administration
 in  r/politics  Aug 21 '20

Definitely. It’s already infuriating that the people who sowed the seeds that created trump are given priority in the party over the voices that have been actually correct about our foreign policy, economics, and environmental policy.

Beating trump isn’t enough, we have to be liberal and proud advocates of our common man. By that I mean give people money and the truth and always demand nothing less

We are going to have to protest this administration like hell because they are going to want to keep the republican coalition members.

I fear we are witnessing the birth of a Democratic Party that will be even more conservative than the old one, a domineering entity that is ruled by the elites, but who’s authority is predicated in the fact it’s either them or conspiracy nuts and racist wannabe nazis. The progressive movement is going to be tested very hard the next few years and the hard times aren’t going to end just because Trump isn’t in the White House anymore

“B-B-B-UT HE SPIED ON MEEE!!”

Says the guy who has proven himself to be nothing but a traitor.

He was just some random asshole who had tons of financial liabilities to Russian mobsters running for the highest office. It would have been completely irresponsible for Obama not to investigate this traitorous stupid clown.

There’s no question about Harris’s citizenship. So why is Trump questioning it?
 in  r/politics  Aug 16 '20

They know it’s ridiculous. They do it because they think it’s funny and are too stupid to do anything productive for humanity with their power.

They’re just a bunch of losers wasting everyone’s time.
