Thanks for your help.. I will be diluting the water to keep it as simple as possible.. ideally I can find a sweet spot and leverage tablets lol. It actually has a salt chlorinater but it’s definitely not working. LCD busted and bad celll most likely.. a man can dream

What test would you recommend for FC measurements? My current one only goes to 5 and the test strips come out white often times making it seem like there’s none.

I went to Leslie’s today to get a kit for precise measurement. That was exactly how it went.. The SLAM score calculated was 28 given the cya was 70.. which is what I deduced from test strips although I feel these tests are subjective to some degree. I get varying results so I end up taking plenty of them. So 28 is FC? Which seems like a lot. I’ve since removed the tablets and started rotating water so I can leverage my primitive measurements better while I order a good CYA and FC kit.

Thanks buddy. My tests aren’t precise enough unfortunately that’s the hardest part to deal with. Makes this rather challenging.

I came home from work today and seen I have rainbow colored water in my pool. As if someone dumped oil or something. Is this normal? Does it indicate an issue with the pump?

A bit of context:

I’ve been having to shock my pool fairly often. Maybe twice a week before algae pops up again. I’ve been running the pump 24/7 because of this.

This is part of my main breaker. I’d like to buy a compatible generator and hookup, but I’m not sure what this connection is called.

Is this duct work bad? Shouldn’t it be hanging? There are some tight spots where ducts squeeze and I noticed sweat in some areas where they’re overlapped

To summarize, ideally the flex duct is R8 and if it’s R4, rerun it, hang the flex so it doesn’t sit on the ceiling, and I should look at adding more insulation to the attic above the ceiling. I’ll probably end up flipping the face towards the conditioned area at the same time and just add unfaced on top..

For clarification, when you say insulation, you do mean insulating the duct work or are you referring to the attic itself..?

Yes.. it’s very hot in my area.. heat advisories everyday for the past week atleast. Easily 90-95 degrees and very humid…

I was going to DIY hang them, in the process I would like to try and insulate it better. I wasn’t sure how insulated they were to begin with.. Is this something that’s DIY-able? Is it something I could royally screw up? I do not have access to a thermal camera, but I could buy one and return it after… I can easily get access to an infrared gun, probably not ideal. Thank you for any advice you could offer!

I just moved into a new house, and my electricity bill for the first month is $400, despite what I consider relatively low usage. I keep the thermostat set to 73°F during the day, 68°F at night starting around 10 PM, and 76°F during work hours when nobody is home. What could be causing such a high bill?

Who generally does CSS-level design? Designers or front end dev?
 in  r/webdev  Jul 22 '22

I was under the impression that flexbox was only available through bootstrap. I took a full stack course in May and I found that using the shorthand classes helped deploy good looking basic web front ends rapidly .
