Looking for new career
I'm sorry, I hardly use Reddit. I see you asked where I got my master's; this was through Open Universities in Australia. So mostly online.

Looking for new career
I'm sorry, I have only just seen this. The masters in all is two years; I did get in via a grad cert, which I qualified for through work experience. The pay is okay, and I get to take advantage of the breadth of experience I have had in life. Urban planning is an interesting one, and it is one of those disciplines where you need to understand that pulling on one piece of the web pulls on all of it. In fairness, most of the concepts are fairly intuitive; if you were asked to think about the subject, you'd like not to be far off; how all of it fits together makes it especially interesting. In strategic planning, the bulk of my work is research to come up with solutions, and even with most of them not going anywhere, it is pretty satisfying. The team makes the biggest difference, though, as with most jobs.

What are some mods that NEVER left and never will leave your load order?
100% the Experience Mod. such an elegant mod that takes away the benifit of skill grinding and makes adventuring along with raidiant quests sooo much more meaningful.

Looking for new career
When I moved from Survey Technician to Land Development officer, I halved my income, it was a really hard few years, but one of the best choices I made.
I did this at the age of 35 and became officially an urban planner at the age of 44. (I know these ages do not add up with the above comment, there are some truncations in this, and a bit more to it, life is a difficult thing to explain in a few words)

Looking for new career
I started in warehouses, then went on to be a survey technician. From there I moved into managing subdivisions for the survey firm I worked for, did my masters in urban planning (Prior to this I had not completed year 8, I had done a project management diploma though) and now work as an urban planner. So in many ways it was incremental, however as a survey technician I was mostly in the field working out doors, moving into the land development team was mostly inside and a great deal more responsibility. the progression into urban planning is again a quite a significant change from subdivisions though is adjacent to it.

The only advice I have to give, is don't give up, I started my current career, really at 39, but in many ways closer to 44. And it was a huge change. It was tough, the change will mean less money for a while, but its worth it not to be in a job that you are done with. Good luck, and you'd might be surprised at what you can learn.

PC SSE - Discussion Synthesis Advice
Hi Modding World,
I have tried to run Synthesis to patch my load order and it bugs out. Now when I change the order of the patches to run it will run the ones it bugged out on and then bug out on one that ran before. I can only guess it must be some manner of memory or reference limit.
Now i have tried to search the vast web and asked Chatbot too, though can not seem to find a succinct answer.
The question is, can you have multiple synthesis patches? ie. One for spell research, then one for level lists, ect.
Thank you kindly for your time.

Dumb things/habits in the modding community?
Don't get me wrong I like some skimpy outfits as much as anyone else, and I'm not kink shaming anyone but mods that have nothing to do with the women or the outfit, that show a woman wearing next to nothing to show it.
Some are spell mods or change the animation for using bows. To start with I was meh, who cares but its becoming a little relentless.

PC SSE - Mod Modding Advice
Hi world, I am interested in starting to make some mods and was curious about something. People's load orders get pretty full, so I would like to try and keep my mods as ESL or ESPFE as much as possible.
What I want advise on, is could I have an all in one resource file that may have inactive parts in it that would be turned on should the ESL or ESPFE exists.
Ie: Say an upgradable fort exists in the resource file that would be in one of the world spaces i am intrested in updating, but that person that downloads it either doesn;t want that fort but does want other stuff, or doesn't play with that world space but does play with others. A: Would that resource file cause this person problems. B: Could an ESL or ESPFE activate that Fort for the other people that might want it.
Thanks for your time and attention on this.

What's the one thing keeping you from Upgrading?
Vicn has made a few, some to be rewards that tie in with Vigilant and Glenmoril and also unarmed and unarmored combat, the later two are not perfect but i like them.
A Witcher's Adventure the there is this one which is freaking epic.
Also there are skill trees for the LOTD skills, and I also play with this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/51043
There is one for the Lich from Undeath, but in truth the bugs in the Undeath mod have scared me away from that mod. Which is a pitty because it looks pretty amazing.
Further to that I am pretty keen on learning how to make skills in it to make a perk tree for Bards Reborn and bardic skills, a mobility perk tree, wilderness lore perk tree for hunterborn, Exotic weapons perk tree for animated armory, and missile weapons for thrown weapons, flintlocks, slings and similiar. I was also considering a Necromancy tree and a Mysticism Tree. (Please do not hold your breath on these, I have quite a bit on and will need to do a lot of learning, I have only chicken scratches of the creative design)

Custom Skill Framework

Belief in a deity does not equal morality.
The original comment is also a pretty flawed perception of objective ethics and moreover, the absence of deity is not explicitly a materialistic world view either.

PC SSE - Mod Synergy Patch for Survival Mode - Advise and or request.
Hi World,
I have found with my load order often food items that get added don't have a hunger value to them and/or I need additional patches to add hunger values to them. Is it possible to make a synergy patch to add these values across the board. I think this would be superior as it makes the load order more straight forward too.
Thanks

Who can tell me more about these freight trains and what they’re carrying I see them with the same cargo at Roxburgh park station every afternoon
If it is rubber they could be conveyor belts. The one on the left makes them look too wide though.

PC SSE - Request Base Object Swapper Query
Hello,
So, one thing i don't like about a long playthrough is the micro management, some of which is storage of inventory
Would it be possible to use base object swapper to affect all safe storage items to be cloud storage? or would this be possible through other means?

PSA About Modding Skyrim Advice
excellent advice.
Though the only thing i would add would be when disabeling half consider if you need to reinstall any mods; again like SSE Fixes, ConsolUtil and similiar. Awesome mods but they seem to throw in the monkey when you freak around too much. (what i mean is they seem to get corrupted with uninstalling mods)

PC SSE - Discussion PSA About Modding Skyrim Advice
Hi I am unaware if a similar post exists, (I'm sure one does) however over time I have come to discover some important details and habbits about modding skyrim. So for context I use Vortex, it may be different with MO2 and if you use neither you are some manner of savant or masocist.
First - do your research on the mods you want. be careful when reading bug reports, actualy read them don't go by the number of bugs. many are incompatability with other mods or poor install habbits or similiar, or very minor and easily fixed. try to only have one mod impacting any given thing, unless a patch for them exists. be brutal with your load order, there are many "thats a fun idea" mods I found that in the end used up slots that were better spent elsewhere and increased the risk of conflicts, even when it came to well made mods.
Next - Endevour to have your modlist finalised prior to start, it can comprimise your load order / save game to add and remove mods later.
Next - it is not uncommon that when uninstalling a mod that it may still have made permanent changes to some of the SKSE plugins and similiar, you may need to verify you files with steam reload skyrim, re run the downgrade patcher (if you use anything with .Net framework), reinstall some .dll stuff, (SSE fixes I found often needs reinstalling when removing some mods for instance) and such.
GOOGLE - The reddit formus are amazing in finding solutions, and most people are pretty helpful, I would recomend as a courtesy to the authors that you hit up Reddit first before putting in a bug report. You might be surprised who has an answer. Also Youtube has some awesome tutorials, GamerPoets has very easy to understand suscinct videos and are both a good place to start but also a good place to go back to for reminders. There are plently of others too that will go into more detail if there is some trouble shooting to do.
Be respectful to mod authors- they give thier time and expertise freely. if you don't like thier mod find one you do like. they don't owe you anything you didn't pay them.
Put the effort into understanding the tools available, they are powerful and very helpful.
Anyway, I imagine i am preaching to the chior on most of this, but if it helps someone its worth the 5 minutes i put into it.

Thank you. I suggest another; consumers put some effort into learning the tools. There are quite a few out there that do make life so much easier. They can be daunting to learn, but with some, especially with AI deciphering Crash Logs, some are a lot easier to get something out of than they initially seem. (forgive me if someone has posted this elsewhere. I couldn't see it.)
Again, thank you for sharing your experience and insight.
