One of these things is not like the others; can anyone explain, in actual financial terms, why Tesla is green?
 in  r/StockMarket  2d ago

In technical financial terms, TSLA is green because there are more buyers than sellers.

🇺🇸 JUST IN: President Trump claims the “market is going to boom.” | Your Thoughts?
 in  r/InBitcoinWeTrust  3d ago

I teach a 5th grade (really 5th grade) stock market class. And we have a for real WSJ dart board fund. With real darts !!!! They look for companies that they know what they do and argue and everything. But, in between juice boxes, they will tell you unfiltered how they feel about stuff. By the way, the word “stuff” on their level incorporates both techno and fundo analysis. Look, they are 12, OK? So, when they see a headline that says “The Stock Market Is Going To Boom” from DJT, it’s not even something they would understand or react to. Even at 12 years old, they love Uncle Warren and know that it isn’t the stock market, it is a market of stocks. They know what Coca Cola is. Get it? So, maybe, just saying, the current administration might consider talking “up” to their level. Well, ah, oooooops, I wasn’t thinking when I said that.

What’s the real motivation behind Trump’s tariffs? He believes they’ll bring so much money to the treasury that the U.S. will be able to afford another giant tax cut that will mostly benefit the rich. Who will pay for it? The working class. Here's what you should know.
 in  r/InBitcoinWeTrust  3d ago

DJT is a shill. I know, one syllable, but go figure. The guy markets what he is paid to market. He has licensed the brand of the President of the US. (Some if you voted for this.) I don’t judge, please don’t do this again.

I am a small voice. I will start with a simple word. Shill. Please take the time to check my definition. I know, one syllable. Shill means that DJT just markets whatever he is told (paid) to sell at the time. That’s why he comes across as so erratic.

Are Trump's tariffs as bad as the Smoot-Hawley Act, which is blamed for deepening the Great Depression? They're actually worse
 in  r/politics  3d ago

Look, I’ve owned Canadian real estate for decades, very modest, not bragging. I bought it for my kids, grand kids. We’re talking cottage here, not estate. Canadian By-laws (their term) were passed three years ago for people like me. By the way, in border towns like Buffalo, Detroit, for probably thousands of tax paying, respectful visitors this may all go away because of one sick, thin skinned, orange-faced ………….. fill in the blank. I will go to my grave in Forest Lawn, Buffalo absolutely hating him and anyone or anything that carries his DNA. I already told Jesus, he knows how I feel. I will accept his judgment on this one.

My 7th grade class can monitor Signal. And you are an adult? Over here, it’s a laugh a minute. And…… they are supposed to have I phones turned off in class. They gave me an Apple (as in fruit) and I sorta got distracted.

Yes, I teach a 5th grade (really 5th grade). They have a for real WSJ dart board fund. With real darts!!! They are smarter than you. They listen to Uncle Warren. In between juice boxes, they know where the bottom is. They also know, that you don’t.

🚨 Trump hits hard with a level of customs duties not seen since 1910! The new US tariffs are disrupting the already strained global economy. 👉 Base tariff: +10% on all imports. 👉 Targeted tariffs: 34% on China, 25% on cars, 20% on the EU, up to 49% on certain countries.

How many sides to Cramer’s mouth? He spins almost, almost more than the bag of the orange cheeto messiah that he worships and devours and fills his gut with. I remember way back, I mean way back as a young broker, Jim was an idol to me. (Let’s not bring up “Money Honey” Maria”) Message to Jim, after 40 years in the business, I now pronounce you Old And In The Way. At age 75 (me) you are hereby banished to being irrelevant. Seriously, WTF happened? I mean W, what the hell happened to you? I know you never ironed your shirt, but apparently, your brain did.

Elon: "I want to state this as crisply and clearly as possible: DOGE will absolutely ensure that people get their social security, make sure they get their social security, make sure they get their medicaid, and will not be cutting any legitimate payments whatsoever."

Believe you on this? No dude. It’s that simple. My 100+ old momma gets direct deposit and follows the S&P 500. Maybe, maybe she dated Warren in high school. Not sure on that one, But she’s definitely not one to mess with.

What would the modern Republican party look like if the Rockefeller Republicans became the dominant faction?
 in  r/USHistory  7d ago

The Republicans might, could (but I highly doubt because I think that they are incapable) resurrect themselves as the party of public education. Obviously, in this cycle they are dismantling the entire concept. But in his day, Nelson Rockefeller engineered the largest most extensive state university system in the country. SUNY. Everybody knows this acronym. I really recoil when I think of higher education as liberal or conservative. But Rockefeller would have been considered a liberal Republican at the time. I’m just the observer here, but I think that even Rockefeller in his best moments would be repulsed by the blinding, numbing ignorance of what his party represents today.

On a trip to Ireland we visited a sheep ranch in the Burren. These dogs are the most cared for, valued and respected animals on the planet. Just our opinion, but what an education. Really amazing.

New U.S. state borders?
 in  r/mapporncirclejerk  7d ago

It’s Buffalo, Ontario before it’s Buffalo, Vermont. Although we get the whole Lake George Lake Champlain geography thing. This region is part of the greater Toronto real estate/economic ecosystem , if only because half of us are related to somebody at some point. This goes back to 17th century speaking French with Father Abineaux. (Buffalo is a true border town). So, I hope this gets a lot of discussion and debate. This is the most interesting thread of the day.

4

What would you name this state?
 in  r/mapporncirclejerk  7d ago

If necessary, but the Vikings pulled off the greatest real estate time share promotion of all time by naming the icy and volcanic island Greenland. And, I mean NO offense to those who call it home, respect only. So, the Free Union of Sacred Ancestors. That’s right. FUSA. You betcha, I can see Labrador from my house.
