Critiques of the typing system?
I tried doing some ROMhacking, but it ended up being too much for my brain to handle easily. It might have worked better if I had tried to join a team to get experience first, but that never panned out.
I definitely wrote some other breakdowns like the above in other places, but I'm not sure where they are off the top of my head. You can look through my comment history if you want to find them, but I don't have an easy way to narrow that down much.
And good luck on your own breakdown! I think that having individualized strengths and weaknesses makes the most sense lore-wise, but with over 1000 Pokemon at this point I think it would be too much work and not enough gain to realistically do it, even in a fan project.

Fossil pokemon and there mysterious disappearance.
I haven't played Scarlet and Violet, but I know a bit about it. (I haven't been able to bring myself to play a mainline Pokemon game since Sun and Moon, since the quality has gone down so much, in my opinion.)
As for Scarlet and Violet, I think the paradox Pokemon are more of a representation of multiversal shenanigans than time travel. The games give conflicting information about it, implying that no one really knows, and neither the ancient or future versions of paradox Pokemon really seem like they come from other times, but other worlds entirely.
That's my take anyway.

Should /r/Minecraft continue participating in the protest?
Of course it should be indefinite. A two day blackout does nothing. You need to make reddit regret their decision.

Open Source Lore Franchise - Presentation & Storytelling Idea
It's an interesting idea. If you have a link to wherever you're collaborating I'll take a look, but I'm not sure I have to time to be a full collaborator.

r/RPGMaker will be joining the reddit blackout starting June 12th.
I hope it's permanent.

This is it…
After the AMA, I have no hope that Reddit isn't going to force this through. I refuse to use their shitty app, so I'll be logging off tonight and not logging back in until July 1st, just to see if the 3rd party app I use still works.
I'm planning on making a Lemmy community, since I still like the Jumpchain community. No idea if it will take off, but at least it'll be something.
Fuck it, I went ahead and made a community. https://lemmy.world/c/jumpchain

Reddit Blackout
Absolutely shut down, but do it indefinitely. I certainly won't be back if they shut down 3rd party apps.

TIL that The Great Gatsby was largely considered forgettable and a commercial failure when it was published in 1925. It was only after WWII, during which free copies of novels were sent to US soldiers overseas, that the book was re-examined and became a core part of American high school curriculums.
Should've remained a commercial failure.

/r/MassEffect will go dark on June 12th in protest of Reddit's API pricing changes
Don't pussy out. Go dark indefinitely until Reddit backs down.

Regarding API changes and Reddit protest
I disagree with your choice, but ultimately it doesn't matter. If Reddit goes through with their plans, I will no longer be using the site, as I use mobile for 95% of my browsing and I refuse to be strongarmed into using their terrible app.

Open Source Lore Franchise - Presentation & Storytelling Idea
I've had similar ideas in the past. In many ways it would act like modern western comic books, where multiple authors are collaborating on a shared universe.
But, therein lies the problem. To set up such a world, you need the authors to all agree, or else you'll run into mismatches. This can be relatively easy if you only have a few authors, but will get messy quickly once you add more.
You also have to consider the issues of using characters established by other authors. Half the fun of a shared universe is seeing how the characters from one author interact with characters from another. To do it well, you either need to have each author get veto power over actions taken by any of their established characters, or set someone up as the "loremaster" of the universe that can object to different characterizations.
An alternative way to set up such a universe is the SCP route, where anyone can collaborate, but there is no canon (or, there is no official canon). In this way, individual authors could take what works for them from the established stories and ignore what doesn't, creating their own story derivatives. I'd honestly be intrigued to see how that might turn out in a more narrative-based structure, as opposed to how SCP does it.
A third idea I've bounced around is a kind of "creative commons" story. One person writes a story, and any one else is allowed (and encouraged) to branch off from the story, creating their own plotlines or alternative plotlines. It would get real messy real fast, but that is part of the appeal in my eyes.

I made my first mobile game for the google play store. I would appreciate if you checked out the game.
Couple of thoughts.
Not sure if this is a bug, but the planet never actually gets destroyed in my games. It just keeps exploding every time it gets hit and brought below 0 hit points, but the hit points never change and I can still do things.
The prices feel too high for such an easy-to-destroy ships. Either all the ships should respawn once constructed, or the proces should be significantly reduced, or the ship's durability needs to be buffed.
There should be a bigger pause between rounds, for the player to be able to build things.
I'm not sure the ships should be able to move. Part of the fun of tower defense is setting up a build and then seeing how well you planned things out. When you can move the ships around, it doesn't have the same feeling. Maybe you could add sattelites that orbit the planet/station to act as intermediaries between ships?
There desperately needs to be a speed up button. Having to wait for the slow ships is terrible.
Likewise, an upgrade to increase the speed of your own ship's weaponry would be a good idea.
This is clearly an early sort of build, and thus it feels very bare bones. Lots of potential, but it needs work. As is, there's not a lot of longevity at the moment. I played for 20 minutes and I feel like I don't have anything else to try.
Looking forward to an update!

Poll: r/Delightfullychubby's Participation in the June 12th API Blackout
As another 3rd party app user, I also cannot access the poll, but am firmly in the "blackout indefinitely" camp. I will not be using the official app regardless, and thus no longer be a member of any community past June 30th.

Do you think /r/foodhacks should go dark on June 12th?
Go dark, not just for a few days, but indefinitely.
5
Reddit API Changes, Subreddit Blackout, and How It Affects You
I support an indefinite blackout unless reddit fully backs off of these plans. I certainly won't be here after June 12th otherwise.

The Protest, The Blackout, and r/BestofRedditorUpdates [NEW UPDATE]
As far as I'm concerned, I'm treating Reddit as dead to me on June 12th unless they universally reverse their decision. I use RiF for 98% pf my browsing, and I'm not using their garbage app.
2
Should we go dark (private) June 11-June 15?
Go dark indefinitely until they reverse the proposed changes.

What is an IP you love that you think would make a poor TTRPG?
I've been on-again off-again working on a Genesys hack that is based on this concept. Really pare down the crunchyness of the game, limit the number of Pokemon people can have, and make the moves less concrete.

Reddit Strike?
I request participation. And full participation, not just the 3-day strike.

Going dark from June 12-14 in protest against Reddit's API changes which kill 3rd party apps.
Don't be a pansy. Go dark indefinitely until they rollback the proposed changes.

Is r/worldbuilding going to participate in the blackout?
It better. And not this 3 days shit; go off indefinitely until Reddit admins back down.

The smoke from Canada is thick enough in PA that this is our sun right now. Just an orange circle.
Pretty much. Lived on the east coast my whole life, and this is the first time I can remember wildfire smoke.
It's really eerie personally experiencing it after only ever seeing pictures and videos of it from the west coast. Sure am glad to be alive at the end of the human race.

Working on some more background graphics for Paleomon
Yessss, I love that this is still being worked on.

I have thought that it would be fun to make a ROMhack that only had the worst-liked Pokemon available. Make players use the terrible ones. But finding official listings of what Pokemon are least liked is difficult. As is making ROMhacks.
