 in  r/deadbydaylight  2h ago

Well, I haven't played against SM, because I am the Skull Merchant and before a ghoul release, amount of people DCing against me was a quite noticeable amount. Now? Nothing. Literally fkng nothing

Discussion If 4 players use Plot Twist, can they all leave without penalty?

Does Abandon takes into account Unbreakable? Plot Twist, No Mother and etc?

Deliverance?

I've seen Abandon pops up when person being carried with other person being downed. For both of them.

So I wonder.

How good those suggestions for Ghoul?
 in  r/deadbydaylight  20h ago

I never said first hit = easy down.

My point is that his first hit literally unavoidable. With Legion you can kinda delay that hit, use pallets and windows a little bit...

With Kaneki you doomed to lose health state as soon as you in his LoS. Literally seen hits from deathslinger distance.  Worst part is, you literally cannot get far if you get hit by Kaneki, because again - you cannot play distance against this killer.

You also cannot piay 90% loops because if you doesn't stun him on pallet drop, he just gonna vault and hit you. Again, TL walls and Shack are potentials to be played. Plus main in the shop, where's window and pallet - distance between these two is small enough where it's somewhat safe.

And if we add perks: Coup literally removes any potential chance to avoid getting downed on ANY loop. Especially if you add Centipede. Now you literally don't have any safe place to play against him. Just like with Nurse. Except Ghoul is 10 times easier to execute.

Worst part is that the only things that kinda give survivors chance to escape: Fcked up Autoaim and some bugs.

Any time I escaped Ghoul in chase or manager to prolong it a little bit, I literally haven't done anything, because those things I mentioned gave me some time.

I mean, yeah. Ghoul is basically a Nurse at this point.

Except Nurse is slow as hell and this forced to use her power in order to cover the map or chase survivors, and she have an actual counterplay as losing LoS or backtracking. Yes, both of those things doesn't really work against a really good Nurses but there's a thing: Nurse takes time and actual skill to get good. After all, it's not even a joke that there's only two type of Nurse players: 0K or 4K and nothing in between.  And even if you get good, you still proned to mistakes and this mistakes are really hurt because of amount of distance survivor can cover during your fatigue and power recharge is insane.

Singularity also have a decent amount of counterplay that hidden in EMP. Good team players can cover each other with EMP, not letting Singu using a power effectively. Yes, he is strong during overclock mode but it can be outplayed.

Dracula actually is just jack of all trades and master of none: his pillar is good, but not as good as PHead for example. His wolf form is good, but again, less versatile and mobile than Wesker and his Bat Form is good traversal tool that in rare situations can be used for chases. But while together they make a very solid kit, each one of them have a very obvious counterplay that most DbD players familiar with.

Now what can you do against Kaneki? You are gonna get hit for free no matter what from insane distances.

You gonna try play a supposedly safe loop? You get hit.

You decide toplay God pallet? You get hit.

You decide to play shack? You get hit.

You try okay distance? You get hit.

You try break LoS? Doesn't matter, he is actually Blight but faster.

You try to backtrack? Doesn't matter, he actually is not that punished for over shooting as Nurse.

Worst part is, first time Ghoul player as lethal as seasoned Nurse or Blight players.

I know only few pallet loops that Ghoul cannot down:

Really short loops where you don't even need vault anyway and Shack, and even then, I'm not sure about shack because I think there's a potential to down a survivor vaulting outside shack.

TL walls maybe a thing, hut then Centipede or Bam exist and you shutdown those as well.

GoJ God pallet? Unsafe against Ghoul. Neither God window.

House of Pain? Unsafe.

Any long wall, gyms and etc? Watch the link from previous comment.

It's basically better than prenerf Chucky at those loops, but at least with Chucky he might screw up or don't have enough turning rate to hit you. Ghoul have none of those problems.

Also, if you remember, Chucky paying for that kind of power by bring 110% killer as well.

Well, if Killer really good at loops, going distance might be a choice, right? Nope. Ghoul have mobility that rivals or even better than Blight. Good luck running away from that.

As I said, pick your poison, those changes are not meant to work together.

I see Ghoul main problem being exactly fast at literally everything. One of the recent posts highlighted the issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1jtd7j1/i_think_people_are_focusing_on_the_wrong_thing/

Ghoul literally can vault pallet right after you and almost immediately attack. Now remind me how fast Wesker can do similar thing?

Getting Ghoul slower, even if it just making him 110%, might help remedy the issue without harming ghoul too much

Discussion How good those suggestions for Ghoul?

This is my list of suggestions that went over my head. Take a note, that it's just a list of separate potential changes, so don't judge them as if they were all applied together.

[NERF] Ghoul is now 110% speed killer.

[NERF]Cancelling power (that includes vaulting over windows or pallets) makes Ghoul walk significantly slower for a short period of time. (Similar to Dracula cancelling his power in Vampire form).

[CHANGE] When damaging a survivor using Kagura Leap, it's no longer prevents them from moving until animation finishes. Animation sped up to compensate for a change. Additionally, Ghoul now be able move slowly during enraging phase. (It's basically works similar to Legion power, but with a big slowdown for a killer).

[CHANGE] Kagura mark works differently now: Upon hitting a survivor using Kagura Leap, Kagura Mark is applied to them for 20 seconds. That timer stops as long as survivor in chase, but starts depleting instantly out of chase. Depletion speed increased when survivor is fully healed. As long as there's at least one survivor with a mark, Ghoul is enraged.

[REMOVE] Autoaim is removed.

... Trapper:

[BUFF] Set all traps active at the beginning of trial.

If I was a female or had suitable voice, I would have done it for free.

I would even go for VA training just for that alone.

Yes. I'm not joking.  That's amount of sheer spite I have.

Discussion Shower thought about numbers (spoilers for chapter 1 and 2) Spoiler

So, shower thought that made into theory.

I think each number will represent some sort of power.

Ichinose is about power of (higher) position. Like one that all higher ups have, or it's maybe be even Power of Fear. Not sure what name it in English.

Sui was embodiment of physical (kinda) power.

Not sure which gonna be next.

And Zero's idea that Yo should overcome each power that exist to basically make him as powerful as he can be for their final showdown.

Also Yo, unironically, probably represents Power of Friendship/Bonds himself, but at final XB against Zero I can imagine he have to fight alone vs his friends to overcome that power as well.

And only after that we gonna have to fight Zero... That we still gonna lose, after all, 23 cities here for a reason.

It is me or there's a bit too much ROD offerings lately? Why it's that?
 in  r/deadbydaylight  2d ago

Ngl, I feel like Lery's would absolutely annihilate any ghoul power, because on RPD there's plenty of open spaces to slingshot around, meanwhile Lery have too much stuff in corridors

Question It is me or there's a bit too much ROD offerings lately? Why it's that?

Yesterday, out of 15 games, I had to play 8 on RPD due survivors bringing offering.

Is this worst ghoul map and that's why survivor trying to bring RPD or why exactly this happening?

Can someone help me without saying "skill issue" or something like that?
 in  r/TribeNine  2d ago

If you dont' get hit, you don't lose hp.

I mean technically its fine to go for survival for your main breaker - I did that for Senju when I was playing him, but still, damage pretty low overall.

If you have 2 tension bar costing cards, there's no real reason to hold Miu ult really.

Also, the more you parry - the faster he breaks
