If I'm using headphones as a headset for calls, i don't understand how that can be illegal. Obviously,  I shouldn't be using noise canceling but that's next to impossible to prove. 

Whats the difference between noise canceling headphones and hands free calling? Genuinely curious (assuming the headphones have modes and is using ambient mode)
