Need some assistance with installing a water filter for kitchen sink

So I'm installing a water filter for the cold water in the kitchen sink. The first photo is the connection to the sink, I think it's 1/2" female (sorry if this isnt the correct parlance for plumbing I'm new) connecting to a 1/2" male that runs to the sink faucet. 3rd photo sit he closeup of the connection.

4th photo is one side of the hose that goes into he water filter. Is there a name for this straight smooth type of connection or is it proprietary? 5th photo are the 2 types of connectors they gave with that smooth connector on the other end. The 3/8" works fine I can connect that to the inlet for the cold water. The other one, the male connector, doesn't work for my system.

My question is can I buy a smooth straight connector hose with a 1/2" female connector? I'm not quite sure if those exist since I don't know what the other connector type is. For the male hose can I buy some convertor that turns it into a female 1/2" connector for that sink connection? I need the 2 smooth end connector because those feed into the water filter. The system looks like this: Water inlet--3/8" connector--3/8" female hose leads to 1/2" female connector--1/2" male connector which is sort of the sink faucet above so this can't be changed readily.

6th photo is the brand just for clarity sake.

Sorry for this is confusing I'm trying my best. I can clarify anything if you have some advice or information :) Thanks in advance.

I know right? This guy does it for a living, is well aware of the risks and some armchair reddit expert who probably only goes outside to get his door dash is like "you can get hookworm." Lmfao

The most aura of any character in any anime ever
 in  r/Frieren  11d ago

Best part is the delay in sound when he does the lightning strike attack. All you what is the swoosh of her dodge, him yelling, AND THEN the attack sound after the light flash. This anime is so goated it's not even a question.

I guess time to start my like 6th rewatch lol

Can anybody help settle my disappointment?

When restaurants prep for dinner service they usually have someone, usually the manager, calculate how many of each dish to prepare and how many servings based on ordering trends. They don't prepare servings of every dish for every seat in the house that would be so much food waste. They take past data and use that to inform how many servings they should prepare. And with ingredients like truffle or any other specialty they usually only make a certain amount period. It helps drive the exclusivity of it and rarity.

Here's the thing, many people will say truffles are overrated and overpower the dish, while true if you really wanted it you could always next time try to call the restaurant and request a portion be held or reserved for you. What's the worst they're gonna say, no? Then you're in the same spot but at least you tried. You could even frame it as you are coming to this restaurant for this exact purpose and that may help with the sympathy but again it's not a guarantee.

Sorry to hear you didn't what you wanted but at least the food was still tasty 😁

Honestly? The remastered collection. I started playing in order from 0 and I LOVED it with 1 and 2 Kiwami being a great followup, the engine change threw me for a loop but still it was fantastic. But something about 3 4 5 remastered made me see what ade these games so special. The heart, the depth, the everything. I've never done one that prioritizes graphics over actual gameplay, and I appreciate them making the platinums less completion list heavy, but some part of me wishes they would go back to those games and make it 4 playable characters and to 100% the completion list again.

Tanimura could be such a welcomed re-addition, or just give us our boy Shinada back....AT THE VERY LEAST AKIYAMA AND HANA-CHAN!!!!

What's the best armor set?
 in  r/helldivers2  21d ago

I have been using the Ambassador of the Brand (blue preorder armor) since basically the beginning and I literally do not change it. The passive is great since it makes the medium armor heavy armor with medium speed, but I don't really care. I will never take it off because it's just what I like.

Wore the blue helmet initially and tried some armors in the beginning but eventually just wore the full set and haven't changed since like lvl30 (been 150 for a while).

It's just what I wanted. Base helldivers armor aesthetic but with a nice stark blue color to it. If I didn't have this I'd be wearing the stock Helldivers armor haha. I just like the way it looks

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE COAST GUARD???????
 in  r/yakuzagames  25d ago

Mfw I try to use logic and rationale to justify the actions of a video game:

I get it, but like bro it's a video game. We've already had a character death, and now a few others justified by just not dying. I mean we watched someone get riddled with a helicopter minigun and they just......exist now as a bartender. Someone fell off a building and now HES a bartender. We've had rubber bullets, we've had bombings on top of towers, a top secret government agency taking in one of the most notorious Yakuza members, a portion of Hawaii that is run and locked down by homeless, Saejima fought a literal mountain God AND a bear, a sleepy Japanese port town hiding a MASSIVE battleship, Purgatory and the existence of the Florist of Sai....and THIS is where you draw the line? And that's just the ones off the top of my head I'm sure there is plenty of others and not including all the gunshots and stab wounds that just don't kill and all the heat actions that are brutal AF (looking at you essence of scraping). There would be no game if the Coast guard existed, just have fun and some Maji Love Love Love under the sun at 36.5 degrees Celsius.

But rj, they all are vacationing at Dondoko Island, it's a conspiracy that runs deep

I usually just stare at the jammer and ping it over and over until they get the idea lol....but I also rarely play with randoms so I don't really deal with this tbh

Northernlion Fallout 3 Supercut
 in  r/northernlion  27d ago

The librarian has slowly introduced me to what I missed. I subbed back in like 2022 when he was in SAP. Never played the game but I think I saw a clip of him on Livestream fails and thought he was funny so I tried him out and it's been a wild ride since. The Indigo Prophecy supercut and Heavy Rain showed me what I was missing.

I need a new or hidden gen anime
 in  r/AnimeReccomendations  Mar 08 '25

This isn't a hidden gem but I will always go to bat for Frieren. I'm 32 and this is my favorite anime by far! It used to be on peice but this one is just so special. The story, characters, worldbuilding, is all perfection. It's a mature story with nature characters and barely, if any, fan service. Spoiler free an elf who lives for thousands of years takes a journey that teaches her how to form connections and bonds with the people she comes across in life and to slow down and appreciate what makes life special. I'm telling you this one is GOATED.

Also fun mention because I like to cook, Delicious in Dungeon. Again not a hidden gem but these are always worth mentioning. Party travels through a dungeon and eats what they kill but only take what they need.

In your tent I think it's the last tab on the right, it'll say Seikret customization I believe

So imma blow your mind. Once you get to a specific point in the story, you can customize the look of your Seikret...aka no more green feathers. Mine is a chocobo named Gysahl :)

Shinada and Takasugi's chemistry is something I've STILL been searching for from these games haha

Probably a lot of you have completed the story of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. How does it compare to the other Yakuza games ?
 in  r/yakuzagames  Mar 04 '25

I think it's alright. I guess maybe I approached it with more expectations but it's cool for what it is. I've platinumed every RGG game so I feel I can say this as true as possible, I wouldn't recommend someone who is new to the series to buy this full price. If you really like this series then it's worth it but everything feels half baked. And I still enjoyed the hell out of it and still have soke stuff to grind for this platinum. But as with all the RGG games, each one is a stepping stone to the next greatness. IW did a lot of heavy lifting, the playlist while you walk around is the greatest thing I've ever done, only wish you could keep it going into combat haha. The buddy link and emoting to them helps the world feel fuller in a sense. Better substories, party interactions, and I like the plethora of shops and vendors and the fact that we can get as much food as we want. And the minigames are always welcomed.

But there is a lot of mid to it tbh. The lighting is annoyingly bad but IDC about graphics too much, and funny enough the graphics for this game are not great as well. They have cooking minigames but its literally 3 minigames, they couldn't copy paste Ishin's cooking games like they do everything else? They couldn't copy paste Ishin's farming, instead we have scattered planter boxes that I just don't care to maintain or even do. The ship combat for what it is, is severely mid I'm sad to say. Again maybe my expectations were that it'd be AC Black Flag but it's just mid. The enemy ships eventually use barrels and mortars and it's almost like initial D ship combat with you and ships drifting to get a shot. Maybe that's on brand but it feels weird. If we could have mortars and barrels like Black Flag did maybe the ship combat would feel better.

The combat becomes laughably easy even if you don't focus on damage upgrades first. The only tough fights are the high lvl coliseum fights and there's a spike in difficulty where they become insanely frustrating. And it's even more annoying that your own teammates can damage you with their thrown explosives or if they use a flamethrower. I like the big fights but it's just a mess after a while. Smartest thing they did was make those explorable islands a long battle with no healing, I enjoyed those as combat challenges A LOT more. The styles are ok, mad dog and sea dog. There isn't much to say. Gaidens styles were more pronounced I feel

This game just feels like a tech demo, as did Gaiden, but maybe as much as I love Majima, I have more of a personal connection to Kiryu and that's why I enjoyed it more. And all this to say I do truly enjoy the game and love it, I just expected more polish I guess.

Guys I need to say this playing as cait in chapter 11
 in  r/FF7Rebirth  Feb 28 '25

??? No it's not? Put blue mateiras paired with a magic of your choice, I think I used fire and magic focus, Swift cast, mp absorb, and you can kill it super quick. If you need physical just summon the moogle and start swinging.

The cait sith is actually pretty easy, but people just brute force their way through the game instead of learning to play each character. When he's not riding the moogle if you dodge and then use square 4 times it'll send out homing magic attack balls and that works too for the adjudicator if he's repelling physical.

Using mp absorb and at least magic focus with lvl 3 magic spells basically is freecasting because it does so much damage that it recovers just as much mp used to cast it.

Fuck Rulers of The Outer Worlds
 in  r/FF7Rebirth  Feb 27 '25

Yes must be tough to have your platinum withheld because of having to do combat challenges that challenge your prowess with your characters movesets when 95% of the gameplay is combat.... I get that it's tough but FF has always had superbosses and "unfair" encounters to stress test you. This is another instance. I'll argue the hard mode minigames were unneeded but these are to be expected tbh

It was brilliant too because I couldn't figure out the riddle, but it clicked for me right then and there with Mimir. Right as he was saying he figured it out, the answer came to me too and I just had to stand there and let the emotions flood me 🥺

 in  r/Trophies  Feb 26 '25

If all you have is the battle sim stuff then not really as I followed his guides. One thing you'll find is you.canr replicate his strats but sometimes things happen so don't follow them so rigidly and if things go off program, to remember the strat and just keep going. For the battle sims, if you follow his guides, for the Zack/Cloud fight, on round 9 and 10, don't get caught out so much by attacking. The main damage comes from the magic so trying to always hit them can and will get you killed. Focus more on blocking in Prime Mode as it gives you a ton of atb, and only get Berserk status when you're ready to throw some lvl3 magic. If this doesn't make sense it will if you watch his videos.

You got it, just take your time and remember there's no timer for the fights, take it slow and keep your fundamentals in order, its actually not so bad.

I found it easier to just remember the pattern and I closed my eyes. It slowly speeds up to tolerate faster inputs so just start slow and gradually build it up....count it like you would count out a song like 1, 2, 3, 4. Just practice the pattern before you even start the game. Get your finger used to the motion and pattern they have to do. You got it brother!!!!

Make sure you have at least 4-5 of each elemental materia and max out all your materias.

As for the minigames, there are plenty of guides online of how to cheese the auto battlers, or how to perform well on Cactuar Crush. Never found the situps/gym stuff to be difficult, I'm a rhythm gamer so it kinda is like that.

Any other tips leave a comment and I'll answer as best as I can!
