Need some assistance with installing a water filter for kitchen sink
So I'm installing a water filter for the cold water in the kitchen sink. The first photo is the connection to the sink, I think it's 1/2" female (sorry if this isnt the correct parlance for plumbing I'm new) connecting to a 1/2" male that runs to the sink faucet. 3rd photo sit he closeup of the connection.
4th photo is one side of the hose that goes into he water filter. Is there a name for this straight smooth type of connection or is it proprietary? 5th photo are the 2 types of connectors they gave with that smooth connector on the other end. The 3/8" works fine I can connect that to the inlet for the cold water. The other one, the male connector, doesn't work for my system.
My question is can I buy a smooth straight connector hose with a 1/2" female connector? I'm not quite sure if those exist since I don't know what the other connector type is. For the male hose can I buy some convertor that turns it into a female 1/2" connector for that sink connection? I need the 2 smooth end connector because those feed into the water filter. The system looks like this: Water inlet--3/8" connector--3/8" female hose leads to 1/2" female connector--1/2" male connector which is sort of the sink faucet above so this can't be changed readily.
6th photo is the brand just for clarity sake.
Sorry for this is confusing I'm trying my best. I can clarify anything if you have some advice or information :) Thanks in advance.
