A pessimistic prediction: Trump could become a catastrophe for Asian Americans
 in  r/hapas  2h ago

The time to do that (if ever) would have been 20-25 years ago. But the moment has passed. At this point it is all just water under the bridge.

Rate my route??πŸ’€πŸ˜‚ 51 overflow is crazy work gunna be taking me forever to find these packages πŸ˜‚

I think they still have that option on the end-of-route survey. The one about how hard it is to find packages.

An honest take on being biracial Asian
 in  r/hapas  4h ago

Eventually there will be an actual "biracial Asian" culture or an actual "multi-racial culture" (which doesn't need to, and probably won't be, race-obsessed) so there won't be a need to basically rely on other cultures for guidance towards and across life's important checkpoints and milestones.

This is not to be confused with a "multi-cultural" setup which could easily be some kind of caste system in which halfies are tolerated but basically ignored.

Very nice, well I hope you weren't the guy who made the "fake news" about the tariff pause πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

I used to wonder what dispatch did all day at the desk, now I know!

Does the Survery affect your route?
 in  r/AmazonDSPDrivers  13h ago

Well a route is designed to do 1 of 2 things: either take up a very specific individual driver's exact entire allotted route time (not including breaks and travel) OR cube out the van.

Anything other than that and there is some serious ratfuckery going on, probably at the DSP level

Longest you been with a dsp
 in  r/AmazonDSPDrivers  13h ago

I think most DSP owners would rather shut the company down than offer 401k matching

I'm not sure if this is weird....
 in  r/AmazonDSPDrivers  18h ago

Maybe they have to clock out when you clock out - in order to not alert Amazon. Then, on paper, it looks like a helper route ending (i.e. two drivers clocking out) instead of a dirty/corrupt split helper route with one person getting 190 stops and the other person getting 65.

As a helper on a helper route, the route doesn't show up as a completed route on the Dashboard. So an inaccurate route count is a huge red flag that they are screwing with you.

You could be on one of those "helper" routes that is divided into two routes. Does your Dashboard (in the app) accurately reflect how many routes you had that week, or is it always weirdly off by one or two?

This might be the most "Amazon DSP" thing I have ever seen

Freshman said school is slavery.

He just means to say that it's an endurance test in which he has little to no agency. He knows it's not actual slavery.

Then report it on your way out. In your report include it as a reason for leaving.

Day Reduced? Nah ✌🏾πŸšͺ
 in  r/AmazonDSPDrivers  4d ago

The DSP's message is truly unreadable/incomprehensible; I would have quit out of pure confusion

Excellent decision-making on your part - you wasted a week and a half but that is still better than losing a year and a half. Good luck.

So how bad will the Bear Market be?
 in  r/wallstreetbets  4d ago

I feel like tariffs will take the heat for the recession (the one which has been predicted for years now) and some inflation.

This should create space for monetary policy to be useful again. So I'm thinking: lower interest rates later this year - meaning, all in all, a recession lasting less than a year, and a "bear market" of maybe months at the most.

Had a package delivered to the wrong address
 in  r/AmazonDSPDrivers  5d ago

To what extent are you able to discern what's written on the label in the photo? I wonder if it's an old photo of a similar looking package.

At any rate, I don't want to dig too deep; many of these warehouses and DSP companies have intentions that are about as pure as the driven snow. Nice that you received a refund with (what I assume was) no hassle.

How far is your new address from your old one?

Workloads are the least evenly distributed they have ever been since the inception of the branded-van deliveries.

For every workload like OP's, there are 5 or 6 fully grown adults still basically on nursery routes, years into this job.
