Most Iconic Airport Ceiling?
 in  r/aviation  12h ago

T1 was cool in long gone times when you could take a coffee in the open terrace of the first floor and watch airplanes.

O tempora, o mores.

T2 is meh. But between T2 and T3 there is a Pirat suspended from the ceiling. T3 is not bad imo.

Hey, that’s amazing for Gridfinity. Especially if the sides of the business end locate with the lips of the grid.

OK you tool gurus, give it to me straight: am I just wasting my money on junk if my budget is only $300 for a thermal camera or can you get something decent for that price? (Homeowner use)
 in  r/Tools  1d ago

I have a Uni-T, same model that northridgefix sells on their site. Bought it for a datacenter, and definitely good enough for home use. Not perfect but imo pretty good value for money.

Goodbye Strava. We had a good run
 in  r/BuyFromEU  1d ago

Yeah, Strava is better put to good use by Russian military commanders. For the rest of us… Well, Idk.

It's disgraceful that we're in this situation!

Stihl has some. Nilfisk too. I don’t know if they manufacture them in Europe though.

You described a modern IFV. Probably the reason why the Bradley seems to be so successful in the front.

For YouTube, depends. There is arte.tv , good documentaries. There is also floatplane.com, which I believe is based in Canada, so not EU but eh, friendlier.

10 k is typical for an NTC at 25C. But I wouldn’t say that is definitive proof of the thing being an NTC

Call a press conference on Rammstein to deny. Do it in the ramp with crew preparing the buffs for another run in the background. Now that would be a message the Russians would understand.

Very reasonable for a theist.

Generally I leave theists alone (though with close family of my age and below sometimes I don’t, because their indoctrination hurts too much and too close). I always leave old theists alone because they are clinging to their last hope. But if they wanted to engage, well, I would not refuse.

How likely is that the whole ordeal was orchestrated to start with?

Personally, I think it is very telling that the head of the CIS didn’t freak out when added to some random group in a public platform, and didn’t even take a cursory check at the list of people in the group.

I am not unmuting a video of some random nostrils with the word “hate” on screen, thank you very much.

I'm trying to replace my monitor power board, but the old one won't come out after I unscrewed it.
 in  r/AskElectronics  6d ago

Yep while it’s not easy to disassemble, it’s ingenious. Zero parts were used to prevent cracking those legs, and still they did the job.

It looks to me that the plug clicks in place. To undo, it would be necessary to push the metal sheet on top, perhaps inserting a flat screwdriver between plastic and metal, and pull the PCB away.

I would try to push and probe it everywhere lightly to ensure it’s the only point where the PCB is held. Just in case.

Season start, salt pool

Looking for reference materials and checklists for season start. Pool is covered during the winter, never emptied.

So trying to learn and at the same time avoid making mistakes.

Any pointers appreciated.

Give it some love, get it clean, make a few photos on a clean background and you will effectively get paid for the time and effort involved.

For an owner worth their salt as a businessman/woman, everything is cost/benefit. It is also more likely to sell if, besides the obvious operating benefits and liability reduction, the cost raise you are proposing is reasonable compared to the income. You can get more technical and compare to EBITDA instead and it will be more accurate.

But the point is, if you are trying to sell e.g. a $4/hr raise for one post times 50 hr/week (to make numbers easy), that’s $200/week. If the business is struggling, it’s enough to think about it. If business is healthy and gets 1000 times that figure on a good week, it’s nothing.

I don’t work in the industry so take it with a grain of salt.

Amazon is not a good place for model trains.
