30 plus folk, what brand shoe do you wear for everyday use?
 in  r/mensfashion  Apr 18 '24

New Balance 623 v3 cross trainers. They changed to an updated model that doesn’t fit as well a few years ago. Ended up buying 5 pairs with 3 pairs still new in the box to this day.

Name a single movie, where the sequel or remake was better than Original.
 in  r/movies  Dec 20 '22

Definitely Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan.

I’d also say Top Gun Maverick tops the original as well.

My worst experience with a ford dealer
 in  r/FordMaverickTruck  Dec 01 '22

Ouch. My dealer did the first oil change service and the total bill was less than $60.

Selling it below their cost. Yeah right. Maybe if they’ve been sitting on it forever AND massively overpaid for it.

How to questions. Eco mode, screen alerts
 in  r/FordMaverickTruck  Dec 01 '22

The manual states how to disable, the seat belt warning for each front seat. Some claim the instructions are wrong so might check out other forums for the “proper” way. As far as Eco mode goes, there is a hardware add-on hack that will switch it into the mode with each start of the truck.

Question to Ford Maverick Owners
 in  r/FordMaverickTruck  Dec 01 '22

Love being able to slid into the seat, unlike falling down into it like most cars.

Ford Maverick “Woodstock” meets the Artemis 1 Rocket

Yeah, but I’d keep losing a car that color every time I went to the mall. Finding a Cyber Orange Maverick in a large parking lot is always a breeze.

Compared to Snoopy’s ride (as the Zero-G Indicator aboard Orion), mine cost many billions less, but as much as I love the Maverick, I’d rather be on that rocket.

If you have access to get closer to the pad, I’d be happy to take a closer shot for Artemis 2.

Without a doubt, The Good Place.

Does anyone get huge wave of fatigue after eating?
 in  r/chronicfatigue  May 02 '22

Avoid foods that can cause inflammation. For me, I’ve discovered that fast foods like French fries and soda are particularly bad when it comes to fatiguing me within an hour or two of eating.

USA solo travel recommendations?
 in  r/solotravel  May 01 '22

One thing most foreigners seem not to realize is just how expansive the US really is. Coast to coast is easily a week long drive for most sightseers. Also, hostels don’t exist in many cities here.

Went to dealer service and they recommended these things which one do I actually need?
 in  r/prius  Apr 26 '22

Read the fine print if that expensive maintenance agreement. May be a way to get out of it and get most of your money back.

Widen the search?

The Gen 2 models (2004-2009) are considered by many to be some of the best built and most dependable vehicles ever.

Cruise control cancelling mid drive?
 in  r/prius  Apr 08 '22

Is it turning off and the cruise control days light blinking? If so, that is a sign of a computer error. Mine randomly did that a few times per year, but always fixed itself when turning the car off and back on. Might try making certain the brake pedal area is clean and not sticking. And checking that the arming brake is disengaged fully.

Depends on location, mileage and condition. Almost three months ago I sold a 2005 with 97k miles for $6200 and that was in the northern part of Florida.

Agreed 100% with this.

Should i replace my transmission fluid?
 in  r/prius  Apr 03 '22

According to my dealer, a transmission fluid change is part of the 100k service recommendation.

Best years and model for longevity if you were buying now? Photo of my 2006 for visibility. I need to replace my current car with 283,000 miles. I have up to $23,000 cash. I am not afraid of miles, but I want the most reliable hybrid with enough room for my toys. What do you think?
 in  r/prius  Apr 03 '22

Liking it overall. Nice vehicle with some features the Prius did not have, and lacking others the Prius did have, such as push button start. The only big downsides compared to the Prius is that it likely will get worse highway mileage, although the city mileage is nearly identical (46 mpg Prius vs 44 mpg Maverick), and there it not enough space inside the crew cabin to sleep comfortably with climate control running should another hurricane knock out power for days here again. The Prius with the rear seats down offered a nice sleeping bunk with a view of the stars at 72 degrees all night long!

Sold my 2005 with 97k and ended up getting a new 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid for $26,007. Of course, I’m this age of supply constraints on everything, it took nearly seven months from order date to arrival date. Nice little pickup getting 45 mpg around town though.
