Any pug friendly way to deal with ML first pull as a tank?
 in  r/wow  10m ago

At that key level, you've got a solid chance of picking up people that don't care about score at all. While that's not inherently bad, it could mean those players have no idea about skips, specific routes, size of the next pulls for CD management, all that. If I'm pugging 10s to fill out the vault, I'm frankly relieved when the tank isn't trying to do skips or mdi pulls.

Exactly. You already have the property, you're already building to a second story height. Don't waste it on a fucking periscope room.

Massive Bookcase

Raw dogging those LED strips looks terrible in any and every situation. That's why the higher end stuff has a silicone diffuser molded into the strip. The only way the cheapo ones work without it is if the light is visible but the strips aren't, and even then you're probably still going to get that pinpoint light effect.

Imps crave the bears.

The funny thing was, you could watch them immediately start running toward the bears as they spawned in. You could stop them with an implosion. It was a DPS loss, it was inefficient, it was a pain in the ass, and you had to babysit it the entire fight.

Or, you could just let them pull the bears. If that resulted in a wipe, which it almost certainly would, maybe next time you kill the bears.

Good thing he didn't live to find out we'd willingly elect someone that resulted in us actually losing the cold war we all thought was over. Womp womp.

I don't push, I haven't for years, I just try to get a vault slot with the old boys each week to keep up with the raid team when I can make it. One of the dungeons, my best is a 6. I'm 2500. Literally accidentally just doing my vault.

So, no, 2400 is not amazing. It's fine, there's nothing wrong with it, and if that's your level or your current best, still be proud of it. But it certainly isn't elitist, call someone else trash level.

Superman | Sneak Peek
 in  r/videos  3d ago

Yeah, but that one might be a safer bet than the movie itself. People love him, he's endearing, and the character has very little baggage or established backstory for all but the nerdiest so they can do whatever they want with him. Based on the success of Peacemaker, it probably sold itself.

That might work, I still have my doubts as I believe these are actually too heavy to hang in the first place without backing on each one, numerous screws, or both but it could work.

Personally, what I would do is throw away the one that is already cut, take all the rest that aren't cut and return them to the store for a refund.

Who would win in a fight, Mug'Zee or Don Han'Cho from Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft (2016)?
 in  r/wow  4d ago

They are both clearly inspired by 1920s and 30s gangsters, both real and pop culture. You could argue whether Kingpin was also inspired by that, but these dudes are as similar to Kingpin as any other generic comic gangster character.

Denmark, Netherlands react to Trump's DEI ultimatum
 in  r/worldnews  5d ago

As you said yourself, there was far more to it than "just fight back, duh." You fought back, gave them a black eye and still had to endure a year of bombing and London getting seriously fucked. You weren't "pussyfooting around" and to suggest such is insulting and ignorant. It wasn't that simple then, and it isn't now.

 in  r/worldnews  5d ago

Right, but why did they just keep getting punched in the mouth for a year? Should have just stopped getting punched in the mouth right away and stopped "pussyfooting around."

But, again, it's not that fucking simple, and it's dumb as fuck to suggest such. That's the point. Read the guy's posts I'm replying to for context.

 in  r/worldnews  5d ago

Sorry it makes you upset but that's exactly what happened, and your comment about dude's mom "pussyfooting around for 3 years" was just you being a dick for no reason. Same with your trauma comment saying the same thing. Britain was getting its shit pushed in, and it didn't stop just because they finally got their shit together and decided to do something.

Oh, just imagine if they stopped pussyfooting around instead of getting absolutely fucking pounded on for nearly a year, with London being bombed every day for 2 months straight. Not what happened though, because it wasn't that fucking simple.

they never even landed on british soil...

Sure got the fuck bombed out of them and needed help to make it stop, fight back, and get back on their feet when it was finally over. Weird.

Turns out they just needed to stop pussyfooting around, stop getting punched in the mouth, and just make it stop, yeah?

Brother-in-law talked a lot about wanting certain type of coffee table he could not find anywhere. Over the last couple of years we talked about it what he would like for it and finally i got inspiration to do it. Project took couple of weekends and cost around 50€
 in  r/DIY  5d ago

So the boards are from old burned log cabin logs, they are kinda special to you, and you cut them into 2x6s and 2x4s that look like they came from Home Depot?

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the table. I don't know, I just feel like if I had salvaged wood that was special to me, I would go out of my way to showcase that instead of turning it into framing boards. I've got a workbench that looks very similar to this (but bigger, ofc) and it's made of maybe 15 bucks worth of department store wood.

@Blizzard - Pls change how tmog from raid works. Mythic gear should reward HC/N/LFR looks too. Im tired of getting msgs like this.
 in  r/wow  5d ago

Oh, please, cry me a river. Thinking that even a slim majority of people experience reality that can be summarized as good people do good things or do unto others as you would have done unto you is beyond naive. It's idealistic drivel, and to expect it from anonymous strangers that will almost certainly never see you or play with you again? Laughable.

A social contract does exist but nowhere in it will you find "forego the things you need or desire to prioritize the happiness and fulfillment of strangers." If people adhere to the real social contract of "don't be a dick" then they're already one of the better people you could hope to encounter.
