There's another one on the bus stop right outside the Smithsonian metro- hopefully tons of cherry blossoms tourists will see it

Resignation during Admin Leave
 in  r/fednews  13d ago

THIS. Resign on the day they tell you to report to office. Not before. They like giving people 30 minutes notice of firing, so that's all they deserve back.

Completely ghosted by supervisor
 in  r/fednews  17d ago

As a direct supervisor of 2 probationary employees who were illegally fired, I was not given any advance notice. I was cc'ed on their firing emails (sent on 2/17, the holiday) and have been specifically instructed NOT to contact them aside from arranging how to get their equipment back. Not saying whether I've 100% followed those instructions, but maybe your supervisor is!

If you CAN retire….. Please retire immediately
 in  r/USDA  18d ago

Torn on the recommended timing- worst case scenario, what's to stop "them" from requiring that 10% to be only applicable after they announce it, so immediate retirements wouldn't help? I'm kind of leaning towards recommending people retire only after goals are clear for that reason

This whole thing infuriates us though, so they deserve every level of pettiness we can build into our replies.

ULPT Request: Most expensive thing you’ve ever taken from a hotel room without being fined/charged?
 in  r/UnethicalLifeProTips  21d ago

Not proud of this but as a teenager my parents absolutely refused to buy new pillows. The ones we had were super old and flat and...yellowed. So when I went on an overnight school trip, I took my nasty old pillow and changed it out for a nice fresh hotel one.

My girl lost her babies. I dont know what to do.

Give her some balled up socks or small stuffed animals, she may mother them for a while but gradually lose interest, it seems to help the grieving process

Will I be chastised for only using printed worksheets?
 in  r/ElementaryTeachers  25d ago

As a parent, PLEASE give paper worksheets! 1000% easier for us to help with homework, plus they do spend too much time on screens already, need the writing practice, and 100 other reasons!

Any word if they get the backpay even if they've found other jobs?

Have any illegally fired USDA probies received reinstatement emails yet?
 in  r/USDA  Mar 08 '25

Yes, her gov email was shut down right after termination 2/17

Have any illegally fired USDA probies received reinstatement emails yet?
 in  r/USDA  Mar 08 '25

One of mine got a weird email about recovering her e-auth account and texted me to see if this was related. But she (& our other HIGH PERFORMING illegally fired probie) already got another job and is not interested in coming back. I can't blame either of them.

DO-GE Staffers Salaries @ Max GS Scale Level NOT $0 as claimed by Muskrat
 in  r/fednews  Mar 06 '25

For context, my 50+ person division has an annual budget of +- $9million- barely over what these grifters are spending in a single week. Altogether we have probably 1000 years of experience, they have what, 6 weeks?

GSA wants to close & sell Whitten Bldg./14th St
 in  r/USDA  Mar 05 '25

They've taken the list down for now. I imagine there was outcry/panic. When I was doomscrolling and found it last night, it was being edited in real time- first just the Whitten was there, then the South building showed up, then both disappeared. Either they don't know what they're doing, or they know EXACTLY what they're doing.

Caught that too. Glad we the taxpayers get to pay for her to see her son, meanwhile my kid only sees me at bedtime and weekends now
