This scene would have worked so much better if she had been a commoner or even an illegitimate princess that was used as a servant. Something…..because Rumple falling in love with an actual princess was…. A choice.

Sheldon. When Amy came on the scene his ego grew exponentially to the point I could only really stand him around Penny because she didn’t put up with his shit.

I don’t think he did either, but David had a habit of assuming that Rumple wasn’t human. He was super surprised when Rumple revealed he had fallen in love in the Enchanted Forest.

David was very black and white.

Which makes me extremely sad about what Robert Carlyle had to work with later on . Although I do like Weaver.

There is something about his character that is just very human. Hook, while hot, was a pirate at heart who killed people because that was part of his job. He wasn’t a good person until Emma. Gold started off that way, became moral dubious to find his child, and then had a very hard time coming back from that. With little to no help from anyone.

Plus Robert Carlyle is an amazing actor and can make me love any character he plays. I sometimes wonder if Rumplestilskin would have been just a one note villain without him. There was a lot of physicality in his acting that showed yeah he does bad things but he doesn’t really want to be doing a lot of them.

Don’t forget Spinner Rumple!!!! He was the original OG. He was an anxious mess but he was a sweetie.

I blame that on streaming services. Why go to the theater when they will eventually find their way to streaming? They need to count how many people watch them on those platforms to see what’s a hit or not. Honestly, the metric they gage these movies by need to change

Rumple does that a lot through the series. Usually with people like Archie or Robert. It’s a nice attention to detail with his character to show that he’s still somewhat kind.

That’s what I liked about Spinner Rumple, he was an anxious mess….but he was kind.
