They state you need either 1 primary or 2 secondary sources for your claim to be legitimate. They don't accept tertiary sources and pictures and videos can only be used to support main sources.

That's exactly what I am wondering too. They refuse to disclose what information they've used and where they got it which is fair I guess but the stats themselves seem highely improbable.

I've looked through ALOT of sources and while none of them have been primary sources (because you'd have better luck finding a leprechaun that a Chinese primary source) and only a few secondary. Most were tetriary but the thing that unites the majority of all sources is stating that the Type 1493 is an upgrade to the N001. Some state that it should have 150km+ range with 6-8 track and 4 engage but most just call it an upgrade. Maybe 1/10 of these say that the Type 1493 is a direct copy of the N001.

There are rumors about the J-11B (block 09 I believe) being upgraded with an AESA radar as part of a project to modernize it. The earlier J-11B however uses the Type 1493 mechanical PD radar and the stats on it are widely discussed but it should most definitely be an upgrade to the N001 that the stats are a copy of now.
