A lot of other creators are now making make-up and other skins things just for EVOx, which helps cement Lelutka as the brand to buy if you want a lot of options. Genus is a distant second.

I have a skybox with no built-in lighting. I bought a backdrop system with lighting because I'm lazy and I'd rather pay someone to do the hard work of making backdrops and lighting easier. You don't need one. I do find the one I use easier to work with.

I have a bunch of pose stands that I created. I have been collecting poses from where ever I can. Lots of freebies. Some paid. I sort through them and drop them into different stands. Some standing, sitting, ground sit. You get the idea. I also have some built on a theme like sexy, power, so. Some poses are copied into multiple stands but that's OK. If I want a sexy shoot, I drag out that stand. If I want a head shot, out comes that one. Combine with Anypose Basic stand to make adjustments on others. If I am shooting myself, I just use the poser in Alchemy or the FS beta. Works just as well.

Add furniture and props. You can get away with a lot of low cost and freebies here. Depends on what you want. I am always looking for little items.

I don't' use any environment settings. I guess I haven't felt the need to. I set the environment to midnight and use the studio lights. Maybe I'm missing out. I also don't use the filters in SL. I take my shots and edit in Gimp where I have more control and better output.

Oh, I also use an Alt as a "camera person" so I can set the view in one window and do everything else in another. I still pooch a shot not and then but far less often.

Some people use photoshop to make it look like its not SL anymore.

I agree with you. My comment is more around the generalized hate for all things AI I see in this sub which is both surprising and sad.

However, no amount of suppression will make the use of AI go away. What it does mean is that demos are even more important than ever because of AI enhanced images--specifically enhancements which mislead the buyer. Enhancements that can be done with image editing, just slower.

Where I would sometimes take a chance on an item without a demo based on the image and knowing it was made for my body, I won't any longer. Nothing beats seeing the item on my AVI in-world.

I have never seen a bunch of people that use advanced tech to work and play had advanced tech as much as the AI haters in this sub. The very definition of Luddite which is ironic.

AI will do none of the things you fear (u/0xc0ffea) for reasons you already know. We are still learning to use AI but I guarantee you for all your ranting and railing you use it daily, multiple times daily, successfully whether you know it or not. Your kvetching will not stop its use and will only make the powers that be ignore you as they should.

Perhaps recognize that AI is in its infancy, it has rough edges, and it needs to be worked into society better and you can be constructive and help. Or not. Up to you. Good Moaning rubbers and slappers. You can set them to rub only or rub and slap. GM also has a nice Boob Kisser which I prefer as an alternative to the rubber/slapper. But the Kisser doesn't' have rubbing, so make a choice. I find dudes slap my boobs much less with the Kisser on. Women slap more with the Kisser. Go figure.

Pretty Liars is another but I don't like their butt or boob animations on slap. Also, no rubbing. I do prefer Pretty Liars face slapper though, I think the animation is better.

From my experience, having a personal lighting system that you can rez or wear is pretty important. the lighting in SAL generally sucks but personal lighting can help alot. I use it mainly to deal with shadows on my face and body. Think, fill lighting more than area lighting.

Use an Alt. I use an alt as my lighting person. With an alt, I can set the lights how I want in dependently of the camera. You can make your own lighting with prims that you wear but I prefer the ease of a lighting system with a HUD. Do what ever is easiest for you so you can get on with taking pictures.

Search doens't always work well. There are sim owner that have bots standing around doing nothing to raise popularity count. Land there and nothing.

Nillies has a lot of BDSM gear that goes unused. Also a nice beach that is nearly always empty.

FYI, changing bodies to accommodate clothes isn't hard once you know how. The viewer has a basic outfit manager. It's OK. The two main issues are it doesn't always apply BOM in the right order and any clothes that requires an alpha may not be properly applied.

However, what I do is make different bodies that contain on the things they need and are usually naked. I can then switch bodies and add clothes and move on. It happens really really quick so switching between Lara X and Lara 5.3 is NOT a big deal. I may stay in a body for days or weeks or I may switch multiple times a day.

Protip: Shoes that don't use an alpha, so most of them but demo, work for both Lara 5.3 and Lara X even if they are labeled for either body. Nothing else, just shoes.
