The other night (6 star lobbies) we were rushing bounty team at Catfish, coming in from Healing waters. And you know the thick trees and bushes between catfish and healing?

As we’re approaching, trees obstructing both teams view, a single person on the bounty team was able to headshot all 3 of us with zero visibility.

Went to their profile and their comments were filled with cheating accusations.

And the icing on top was their VAC ban on record from December of 2024.

Definitely no evidence of cheating, right?! /s

I would bring a melee tool you can throw, either axes or knives. This way you can take out sound traps like horses/cows/kennels

People have already left a lot of good advice in here. The only thing I don’t see people addressing is your HUD and sensitivity issues.

Load into the Shooting Range and pause your game and go through your options and settings.

There are sensitivity sliders in the options and there’s also a default zoom when over shoulder view you may want to address.

I would also suggest changing key bindings to what feels better for you.

Me personally, I changed the crouch button to ‘C’, I changed jump to ‘Space’ and I changed vault to “v”

Just play around with the settings while in the shooting range until movement and aiming feels good to you. You can also change the opacity and behaviors of the HUD in your settings too.

Always best to test this stuff in the shooting range so you don’t have to worry about getting headshot in a regular bounty clash.

ETA: I also changed key bindings where my melee button is a button on my mouse, I have my aim still set to “lowered” but you may want to change it to “centered”

Just literally play around with those settings to improve you QOL

Don’t worry OP, this has happened to a majority of us in this sub on our first playthrough.

You can definitely, unintentionally derank down to 2 stars if you play bad enough. I had a rough week last year and I dropped from 5 stars to 2 stars at one point.

I will say though, unlike OP, I was a god amongst men in those brief 2 star lobbies lol
