so im currently lost. I have no idea where to go next. ive beaten the big dog with a sword and Ornstein and smough (more accurately solar did while I watched) and a bunch of other ones and now I have no idea where to go. most of the areas have big yellow doors I cant get through and I dont know where to go to access the thing that lets me use the lord vessel to unlock them. my only geuss is Vally of the drakes but I dont think I do enough damage to the dragons, the only other option is this one big tree area but theres a bunch of annoying frogs in it that I dont want to deal with right now. its also a pain in the ass to get to. I have no idea where this "abyss" thing is but im supposedly able to walk in it. Ive been sort of liking the game so far (currently have very mixed opinions) and I really wanna keep going with it. just need a push in the right direction. any help is appreciated!

If Sekiro's a dance that clicks & Dark souls is two men fighting for nothing then how would you describe this?
 in  r/shittydarksouls  Jan 05 '25

a child violently smashing his toys together until something breaks

bosses that you relate to?
 in  r/bloodborne  Jan 05 '25

ludwig. im like a big fucked up horse monster in real life its crazy. in all seriousness though id have to pick the pyromancer shadow of yarnham, in most groups I feel like the annoying third wheel sometimes so I really relate to the actual annoying third wheel lol.

Idk if this is unpopular but I REALLY like the second guardian ape fight. like I know its not a good multi boss fight but I just think its really sweet that his wife still stayed with him even though he had no head and there was a worm inside of him. honestly I like allot of sekiros monkey boss fights, they're always funny to me. like you beat him so hard he had to call his wife to beat you up, what a beautiful couple.

Most redeemable and least redeemable character?
 in  r/bloodborne  Dec 29 '24

well honestly I don't rlly wanna see any of them suffer, theres been more than enough suffering in yarnham already. id say the most redeemable is Eileen or Arianna, Eileen may be a killer but she is stopping blood drunk hunters from running loose, and Arianna is literally just a prostitute lol. like I wish there was a quest where I could help her cause she really doesn't deserve that. most irredeemable to me is probably queen Annalise/alfred, there both terrible. the executioners if im not mistaken marched into cainhurst and killed all the evil vilebloods but for some reason also decided to kill all of the maids/house workers (and I dont think every single maid in that place was a vileblood so to me it just seems like overkill) which is just fucked up. and I also just think the fate Alfred had in mind for Annalise is sickening. infinite torment is never something im ok with. shes not really a moral paragon either tho so cainhurst in general is just filled with awful things/people, really is a cursed domain. micotrash is also really really evil. OH WAIT another pick for most redeemable is that lovely pile of blankets in Odeon chapel, alls he wanted to do was help people and be your friend. cool guy.

What’s the worst thing that happened to you in this game?
 in  r/bloodborne  Dec 28 '24

Laurence the first vicar on new game+2. it brought me to actual tears twice and I never even ended up beating him on that character. I had to fight him on a non NG+ character and it was still a huge pain in the ass. just a genuinely DRAINING fight. hes partially the reason I just dont do the dlc. its genuinely upsetting even being in that part of the game. it just fills me with the awful memories of that week long period where I was trying to kill him. the dlc isnt even bad it has my favorite boss in the game and allot of really cool weapons/areas I just cant go into it without getting worked up. terrible boss and even worse memories.

I don’t like Logarius

Best boss in the game?
 in  r/bloodborne  Dec 26 '24

DEEEFINETLY witches of hemwick. (in all seriousness Gascoigne is my favorite)

3

I've just beaten Lady Maria and wow. Prob one of the best boss battle in bloodborne(Ludwig will be my favourite). What's your favourite boss and why?
 in  r/bloodborne  Dec 24 '24

Gascoigne. him and ludwig are probably my favorite bosses in like any game ever. they really encourage you to play aggressively. especially Gascoigne where in his second phase it gets more dangerous the farther you are away from him. I also like logarius but Gascoigne is still my favorite crazy beast man.

I like to think she was just desperately hoping you'd leave lol. like "oh fuck someones actually here. ok maybe if I just stand completely still they'll get confused and go away."

The Squid
 in  r/bloodborne  Dec 24 '24

I like to think you just make up what happens. it's your hunter so you get to decide what you do as a great one. im sure there are lore implications but I just like to think of it that way. personally I tried to play the game fairly morally so im sure good old Brian hunter wont like kill all of humanity and eat 10,000 babies a day or something. I like these games cause of there vague stories and silent protagonists, it lets me imagine what my character is saying and how he acts, I really enjoy the roleplaying elements of these games so an ending thats basically just "ok your a squid now good luck" is really cool to me.

First time playing Bloodborne
 in  r/bloodborne  Dec 24 '24

explore everything! this game uses shortcuts over standard checkpoints so make sure to go EVERYWHERE! if you see a doorway/hallway go down it cause it probably leads to something useful/cool! make sure to use every single elevator you find! other than that good luck!
