Megathread: VERA/VSIP/DRP
I work as a GS6 in DOD in an administrative position, I’ve only been in the fed govt for 6 months. Should I take the DRP or ride it out and see if I will get RIF’d?

I’m a probie. I’ve only been at it for just under 6 months. I’m taking some leave for the next few days to visit my sister and frolic in the mountains. I’m hoping that I will feel more grounded when I get back and that I’ll be able to make a clearer decision, but I sure as hell am leaning towards taking it. I saw someone mention making a pros and cons list - I might just do that to get it all out, might be easier to visualize at that point.
I will say this: the biggest reason I felt drawn to the fed govt was because of the great potential to land a remote position or a position that offered telework, and with that being taken away, my motivation for staying in the fed govt has dropped dramatically.

The last known photo of Dianne Odell, who was diagnosed with polio at age 3 and spent nearly 60 years confined to a 750-pound iron lung, shows the woman whose life tragically ended when a power outage shut down the machine sustaining her.
In this political climate, gimme all da dark comedy, straight into my veins

Yeah same, it never went over 74 in the house yesterday and we have the doors and windows open and the ceiling fans on 🤷🏻♀️ my house is only 1 story though so I’m sure if you have a 2 story or live on the upper level, it’s different.
